Karin's Death

Sasuke and Naruto jumped back from each other, and panted not tearing their gazes from one another. Sasuke gritted his teeth, he then weaved a set of hand signs, and the sound of a thousand birds echoed throughout the trees as lightning followed behind it. Naruto knew what jutsu Sasuke was going to use on him so he produced another shadow clone, and began making another rasengan.

Sakura watched with fearful eyes. She didn't want Naruto or Sasuke to get hurt, but it was there fight. She always knew that. Right from the beginning she knew that one dag it would come to this, and she would be on the sidelines watching. A pang of heat touched her heart. She gasped, and fell to the ground clutching at her chest. She felt as if she was on fire. Her heart thumped unequivocally against her chest as she screamed out in pain.

Karin stopped coughing for a moment to look at her, and smirked. She knew it worked. Suigetsu had taught her one of his jutsu's that she had been begging for (to her displeasure) since like forever. It was called Enclosed Suffocation. It was smart of Karin to have provoked her enough to touch her. To use the jutsu, she had to scratch or hit her in order for the water to enter her body. At the start of the affects of the jutsu, it would first begin to feel like the body is on fire then the water will seep into the heart, and drown it causing its host to die instantly.

Karin smirked. Looks like Suigetsu owed her 100 yen.

"Arghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!" Sakura screamed, clawing at her chest, desperately trying to rip out her heart.

Naruto immediately released his rasengan, and looked over at his pink haired girlfriend/teammate, and instantly appeared by her side. She fell into his lap still screaming. Naruto tried everything in his power to find out what was wrong with her, but all her pain gave away was her clutching her chest. He looked over at Karin with red wrathful eyes. She flinched, and stood up quickly to run away but Naruto reached out with the nine tails transformed hand, and grabbed her by her waist. He held her in his hold, and was about to crush her when a sword pierced his arm. He roared loudly, and pulled back letting the red haired girl go.

"Thank you Sasuke-kun! You're always saving me!" Karin boasted happily, clinging to said person's arm.

Sasuke shrugged her off, and glared at her with his piercing red eyes. She again flinched and took a step back.

"Release the jutsu now."

Karin swallowed the huge lump in her (still sore) throat, and balled up her fists.

"No."

With Chidori still going on his palm, she had the nerve to say 'no' to him? Who did she think she was?

"No?"

Karin let out a shaky breath.

"Why? Why do you want me to release the jutsu? You said it yourself Sasuke-kun, you don't care for them anymore. Especially her! So why do you want to let her live? She's nothing to you! She's a useless annoying bitch that only gets in the way of things!"

Before Karin could say anything else, she felt a antagonizing pain go through her stomach. With her mouth gaped open, she looked down to see a hand through her gut. Blood oozed out past her lips going down her chin. Sasuke tore his hand out of her stomach and watched as she fell face first to the ground. Karin's eyebrows knitted together slowly.

"So you are in love... with her.... Why.... Sasuke...-kun...?"

Her eyelids closed, and her breathing stopped.

The sound of a shrill cry, and a loud roar tore Sasuke's attention from his now former teammate, to the pink haired girl withering on the ground.

The pain in Sakura's heart had ceased moments ago, but now there was a burning feel on her back. She tried reaching behind her to heal it, but she wasn't quick enough when she was again scratched by Naruto's claws. She let out a blood curdling cry.

Naruto was enraged. He took out his anger on everything and anything near him. Slowly was he losing himself in his rage, but he couldn't control himself.

All because of Sakura.

He looked to his left, and saw Sakura trying to stand up, but he didn't know who it was so he didn't think to care about who it was, just as long as he could take his rage out on that person. He slashed his claws across the person's back, and smirked when hearing her wails of pain. She fell back to the ground, and tried to heal her wound, but he didn't let her. Again did he slash across her back, and again did she wail. It amusing to see her cry out in pain. He soaked it all in. Nothing would stop him. He would kill every living thing that he saw, and not feel any remorse in doing it.

Sasuke narrowed his eyes, and switched his sharingan to his second level. The Mangekyo Sharingan.

"Amaterasu!"

A barrage of jet-black flames flew from his mouth, and enclosed Naruto, and burned everything on him. He roared, and tried putting out the flames, but nothing worked. Blood streamed down from Sasuke's eye causing his eye to throb painfully.

"Agh!"

Sasuke put his hand over his eyes, and gritted his teeth. He knew using the highest level of his bloodlines fire technique was extremely risky, but it was the only way of possibly stopping Naruto and his rage. Out his right eye, he saw Naruto fall to the ground as the black flames still resided on him. Sasuke moved his hand away from his eye, and tried to use the fire technique again, but this time obliterating the flames.

Once the last bit of flames dispersed, he again put a hand over his eye. Blood seeped through his fingers. He panted.

"Damn it. These are too weak. There has to be another resolution."

"Oi, Sasuke! What happen to Karin? Is she...?"

Sasuke looked at his bloodied hand, but only saw a blurry vision of it. He fell onto the ground on his knees, and gasped as another throb inflame his eye. More blood spewed out from his eye. Suigetsu bent down, and put a hand on his shoulder.

"You saved her didn't you?"

Sasuke didn't respond. Why exactly did he save her you ask? Well he had no clue himself. He may, in a way, be sort of fond of her, but that didn't mean that he loved her. He just needed her. And that's when he decided on his next, and more intelligent move. He was going to capture Sakura, and threaten her to join his team as their medic. He smirked slightly, still trying encore the pain in his left eye.

She would be interesting to be around again.

"So what do you plan on doing now?" Suigetsu asked him.

Sasuke stood back up letting his arm fall by his side.

"Since Karin is of no use to me, we're taking Sakura. She will be the team medic, and she's off limits."

Suigetsu sent the raven a sly toothy smirk.

"Oh? Why's that? So you can keep her to yourself?" Suigetsu said mockingly.

Sasuke grunted, and went to pick up the pinkette. Suigetsu chuckled under his breath, and went to retrieve Juugo.
