I have a proposal (Final part)

They go up to the front to pay and sign all of the papers. They signed up to have a microchip put in in a few weeks. They signed a document saying they wouldn't declaw him, and another saying they would buy his flea and tick medicine and his anti heart worm medicines.
After what seemed like 20 papers they were free to head home with their new addition to the family.
When they get home Lisa has to take multiple trips from the car to the house to get all of the supplies in.
Before bringing Leon inside she set up everything in the house while Susie stayed in the car with the cat.
L: "Okay, my love, let's bring im' in!"
They carefully carry Leon into the house. They introduce him to where his litter box is and where his food and water dishes are.
They set him down on the couch. He sniffs it, and then hops down to sniff around the room. Susie follows him like a shadow.
L: "Suse hon give him some space."
They spend about and hour doting over him when they hear the garage door open.
S: "*gasp!* that's mother!"
L: "Quick, put him in the bathroom!"
Patti starts walking up the basement stairs.
L: "Okay, be cool."
Patti opens the door to see Lisa and Susie standing next to each other smiling awkwardly.
Patti hesitantly sets down her bag.
P: "Um, hi ladies...what's...going on?"
S: "Nothing."
L: "Nope." 😅
P: "Riiight. I'm going to go use the restroom."
S: "Wait! We have a surprise for you!" 
P: "A surprise huh?..." 
L: "Yep, we've been working on it ever since we got home!"
P: "Okay...what is it?
*Awkward silence*
S: "...mommy you go get him!"
L: "What!? It was your idea, you get him!"
S: "Fine!" She gingerly walks to the bathroom.
P: "...him?"
L: "🤷‍♀️😅"
*Before coming into the room* S: Okay mother...promise not to be mad."
Patti raises an eyebrow.
P: "About what?"
Susie comes into the room, Leon in her arms. And smiles at Patti and hopes for the best.
P: "..."
S: "..."
L: "..."
P: "You brought a cat into our house even though I specifically said not to."
S: "Uh, yes..."
P, directed at Lisa: "Did you know about this?"
L: "Yeah, I took her to the shelter to get him. We also bought all of the supplies and so we can't take him back. 😌✨"
P: "Lisa..."
L: "Yes Patti?"
P: "Susan..."
S: "Yes mother?"
P: "I- gimme a minuet." She walks upstairs, leaving her bag.
L: I'd say that went rather well."
P: "Yeah, she didn't even yell!"
L: "But I should go after her, I'll see ya in a bit. See if he needs to use the litter box yet."
Lisa goes up the stairs and into the bedroom.
Patti's changing from her work uniform to lounge clothes.
Lisa stops in the doorway.
L: "Hey hon, how are you feeling?"
P: "*sigh* I'll be okay. You're right this was a suprise...kind of."
Lisa comes over and hugs Patti from behind.
L: "Rosie girl was really exited to go into the shelter. We had a lot of fun shopping for him."
P: "Why's it bald?"
L: "He had fleas, but he's fine now. He's already neutered and he's already had all of his shots. They said they were having trouble adopting out the older cats, and Susie seemed to really like him, so it was perfect."
P: "So she's happy?"
L: "Yeah. I think this is a great opportunity for her. It's a little more responsibility than Spinel, but not too much to overwhelm her. She also adores that cat."
P: "Alright, *she breaks the hug* let's go check out that animal I guess."
When they get downstairs Susie's in the middle of the living room floor playing with Leon. She's waving one of those poles with a string with a feather at the end of it at him. He's having the time of his life. She turns.
S: "Oh hey moms! We're playing with toys! He really likes this one." She waves the pole and he pounces at it.
P: "Heh...what other stuff did you get him?"
Susie gives her the rundown of all of the toys. As she sits on the floor, Leon walks over the Patti and starts rubbing his head against her.
P: "Ack! He's getting cat fur all over my pants!"
S: "Awww rub his head."
Reluctantly Patti starts rubbing the cats head. He starts purring.
L: "Looks like he likes you dear."
P: "Yeah whatever."

They eat dinner and give Susie her bath. She skips to her room and jumps into her bed with Leon.
P: "Okay, who do you want to tuck you in tonight?"
S: "Uuhhhh, Mommy."
P: "Alrighty kid, I love you, don't let the monster under your bed eat you." Patti goes to her and Lisa's bedroom.
L: "You know she's lying about the monster right?
S: "Yes I know." She pets Leon's back. "Thank you for letting me get him."
L: "Of course dear, as long as you take of care of him."
S: "I will, I promise." Lisa kisses the top of her head and gives her a big hug.
L: "Goodnight dearest, I love you."
S: "I love you too mommy."
She leaves the door cracked for the cat and goes to her room.
Patti's already in bed reading a book.
L: "Watcha reading?" She joins Patti in bed.
P: "Just some shitty romance novel."
L: "Let me see it?"
She passes the book over.
L: "Did you get this from my box in the basement!?"
P: "*Laughs* yeah, I didn't know you were into fluff."
L: "*Blushes* well, for your information, most of the books down there are...smutty one would say."
P: "Oh so you're into dirty books too? Lisa Diamond I am still learning new things about you."
L: "Oh why are you surprised you know me."
P: "Ha! What do you mean in bed?"
L: "Well...yes."
P: "Yes I do know you ;)"
L: "Oh hush! *Gasp* look who it is..."
They looks towards the door, Lisa must have not closed it all the way. Leon slowly struts in.
P: "No, no way we are letting him sleep in here." She gets out of bed to take him back into Susie's room but he runs under the bed before she can catch him.
P: "Damn it!"
L: "Ha! Looks like he's not leaving."
Patti tries to reach under the bed to grab him but she can't quite reach."
P: "Shit, fuck this I'm going to sleep." She gets into bed, turns out the light, and pulls the covers over her head
L: "*sigh* such a drama queen."
P: *muffled* oh shut up."
The cat jumps on the bed
P: Oh hell no!" She pushes away the covers and tries to shoo him away, but he hissed and bats at her hand.
L: "Aww, he likes you."
P: "I come home from a long day of work. Randomly find out that we have a cat, and now I can't even fall asleep without a bald fucking feline trying to antagonize me!"
*From the other room* Susie: "Moms! I'm trying to sleep!"
L: "Yes honey our apologies!"
She pushes Patti back down on to her pillow.
L: "You heard her, go to sleep."
P: "Not with that thing in here!"
L: "Sleep." She turns and hugs Patti in bed.
P: "*Grumbles*"
L: "Goodnight my love."
                        *four hours later*
Patti's still not asleep, knowing that demon spawn is still in her room.
Around midnight she decides to get up and watch Tv downstairs.
She sits flipping through channels.
P: "Ugh, nighttime Tv sucks."
The spot next to her on the couch presses down.
P: "Susie girl why aren't you in be-"
It was not Susie.
P: "What the fuck!?"
The cat pads over the rests on her lap.
P: "What ew! Get off!" She tries to push him off but he hisses again.
She throws her head back in defeat.
He starts purring.
The exhaustion from the day and the warm purring animal in her lap slowly lull her to sleep.
                              *4:30 am*
Patti's alarm to get ready for work went off in the bedroom waking Lisa up. When she saw her wife wasn't beside her, she got up to search for her. Going down the stairs and into the living room, she heard the soft snoring of her partner.
L: "*Whispering* oh my gosh!" She found Patti curled up on the couch with Leon in her arms.
Lisa made sure to take loads of pictures before waking her up.

So the days went on; the family got used to having a cat around the house. Patti always acted like she despised the creature, but the pictures on Lisa's phone and the 6 foot tall cat tree that came home a week later said otherwise.
