Elena P.O.V

It's been a couple of weeks since Isabella and Jeremy ran away and when Jenna, Matt and Vicky left a few days before my 18th birthday. Bonnie Caroline and I are still looking for them but Stefan, Damon and Liz told us to leave them alone 

That if Jenna and Vicky are with them we can't do anything. I scoffed at the thought, Jenna doesn't know the twins, they need me. Our mom died, they need someone to fill that roll for them 

The girls and I were at the grill discussing how we can find where they went when one of the waiters called out to me "Elena! You might want to look at this" He said pointing at the TV 

I turned my attention to the TV seeing the news on, I rolled my eyes about to look away when I heard the woman talking about Jeremy and Isabella 

"In just a couple of days Isabella and Jeremy Sommers have gone viral for their performance in their music class. Isabella was singing an original called  Little Me while her twin brother Jeremy was playing guitar. It seems people have recorded their performance and now the twins are trending on all platforms. It is also known that Isabella teaches a dance class at her local dance studio and has started a local dance team. The Sommer twins do wish for their location to stay private but one of their friends has sent over the video of them performing" 

Isabella and Jeremy stood on a small stage. Isabella was singing her heart out with Jeremy playing next to her, both of them smiling widely, something I have never seen. They look so happy

When their performance was done people in the grill who were watching when my siblings names were mentioned stared clapping some even saying how good the two are 

I turned to the girls who were staring at the screen shocked and impressed 

"What the hell! Since when can Isabella sing and Jeremy play the guitar?!" They both shrugged, looking at me like I was stupid "Elena we barely knew the kids ourselves. Your their sister, shouldn't you know" Caroline sasses making me roll my eyes

"It's not like I actually paid attention to the twins, but they need me. Our mom just died, they need someone to fill that roll" 

Bonnie raised a brow at me "And it's not just so you can take their money your mom left them?" She asked me skeptical. I shrugged "Maybe, but who cares" I flipped my hair over my shoulder "I should have gotten more than a couple hundred dollars. I was my parents pride and joy" I say like it was no big deal

And it wasn't. My parents loved me more, so what? 

Caroline rolled her eyes as Bonnie sighed "Elena you were your father pride and joy. Your mom loved all three of you the same" Caroline said slowly like I was a baby. I glared at her for a moment before asking "Then why didn't I get anything from her?"

"You did" Bonnie sighed "You got 2,000 dollars from her along with the money from your dad. While your dad left nothing to the twins, you know his actually children" 

I gasped at my friend "What? Bonnie how can you say that! I am his daughter" 

"She's not saying you're not" Caroline jumped to defend Bonnie "She's just saying he treated you better than he did his real children. Just be grateful he left you everything he had, the twins didn't get that" 

With that the two got up and left me sitting alone. I noticed lately they've been spending more and more time together and leaving me out. I don't understand why. I'm a blessing to be around

Who wouldn't want me? I'm perfect and once I can convince Stefan to turn me, I will be even better than my so-called siblings. I just need a way to get him to turn me or maybe I can convince Damon to turn me

Stefan P.O.V

Damon and I are sitting in the back booth of the grill talking. We realized when the twins ran away and Jenna, Matt and Vicky left- which is still crazy that Vicky is alive- how truly toxic Elena is

She complained day and night that they all left her with nothing when Jenna left her the house and some money so she can pay the bills until she gets a job 

Damon and I decided to try and fix our relationship. We were the Salvatore Brothers, once strong and tight brothers, we shouldn't have let a girl come between that but we did and now we're trying to fix it

We've been catching up on the years we spent apart and when he told me what happened to him, how he was captured and tortured, how he had to leave his friend who begged him to go, I wanted to go and kill those people. They call us monsters when they're the real monsters. 

Now I'm glad I let Grayson die, he didn't deserve to be saved. I'm just sad I couldn't save the twins mother 

While we were walking, one of the waiters called out to Elena and motioned to the TV. The woman on the news started talking about Isabella and Jeremy but instead of using the last name Gilbert they used the last name Sommers 

"Wow their good" Damon commented taking a sip of his drink "Yeah, they are" I agreed when I hear Elena talking, sharing a look with Damon we both listen in  

"What the hell! Since when can Isabella sing and Jeremy play the guitar?!" They both shrugged, "Elena we barely knew the kids ourselves. Your their sister, shouldn't you know" Caroline sasses making me smile

"It's not like I actually paid attention to the twins, but they need me. Our mom just died, they need someone to fill that roll"

"And it's not just so you can take their money your mom left them?" She asked Elena skeptical. Damon and I shared a look, that was totally the reason "Maybe, but who cares"

We heard Bonnie sigh "Elena you were your father pride and joy. Your mom loved all three of you the same" Caroline said slowly like Elena was a baby. Damon covered his mouth so he wouldn't laugh "Then why didn't I get anything from her?"

"Brutal" I whispered making Damon smile

"What? Bonnie how can you say that! I am his daughter"

"She's not saying you're not" Caroline jumped to defend Bonnie "She's just saying he treated you better than he did his real children. Just be grateful he left you everything he had, the twins didn't get that" 

We stopped listening when the girls got up to leave. We turned to each other "Why did you date her again?" Damon asked looking at me like I'd grown a second head. I shrugged not even knowing why, she got on my nerves a lot, sometimes I wanted to drain her dry "I can't even tell you" 

We go back to talking not noticing Elena eyes on us
