"Are you excited for the school trip, Uesugi-san?"

I glance at her—her eyes bright with anticipation, the little ribbon bobbing every time she talk. "Excitement's overrated." I mutter. "I'll show them what it's like to mess with me, though. I'll frighten them so much that they'll never dare to cross me again."
Relax, I'll explain. It's actually a funny story. Our class trip is coming up soon, and they were looking for volunteers for one of the activities. Because of my own carelessness, I accidentally signed up—and by the time it was all over, it was far too late to back out.
"Uesugi-san, it was your fault that you took the courage test. You should have actually listened instead of focusing on the lesson." Yotsuba said. ''You shouldn't raise your hand to everything, hehe.''
Right now I am in the library with Yotsuba and Miku, waiting for the others so we can study properly after a long time. Although this wig is starting to embarrass me a bit. It's a necessary part of the costume I'm making and I wanted to test it. A small price to pay for my true goal, going to screw them all up with pure horror.
"Blonde wig suits you, Fuutarou."
''Don't care. I made a mistake once, I won't do it again. I need to take it seriously.''

"Nee nee~! Have you two heard the Bonfire Legend?" Yotsuba put her pen down on the table and looked at both of us. She's probably trying to lift our mood. "Its said that you'll be bound by fate for life to the partner you dance with at the finale of the bonfire dance that takes places on the last day."
I roll my eyes so hard I nearly dislocate something. ''That's about as rational as claiming a matcha soda will grant you telepathy. Nonsense and unscientific.''
''Yup.'' Miku nods. ''I agree with Fuutarou.''
"How insensitive you two are! Argh—!''
