"What do you think of the mochis? Are they delicious?"
"Yes, they are."
Uraraka enjoyed the food in her hands, savoring the sweetness and softness of the mochis. There was no doubt that when she ate these, she felt like she was in heaven. It was her favorite dessert, and she was never going to refuse any invitation to try some. Especially if that invitation was from the person she was in love with.
It was her best night. She was having a moment alone with Deku at a city fair. This one had asked him out, and her excitement was great after hearing that he was asking her out on a date. Although her blush was also very noticeable; but there was nothing makeup couldn't fix.
Time was limited because her father had given her a schedule, so she had to make the most of that night with him. And she was making the most of it. They played assorted carnival games, they walked together while laughing, and now they were eating. Just like a couple.
She wouldn't say it, but she was enjoying the fact that she was with Deku more than the mochi itself.
At least she was having a good time; in Deku's mind, he was in a mental breakdown. His head had the thought that she was having a good time with him, but at the same time, he felt that she wanted to leave the place because he was boring. He was having contradictions. His anxiety was reaching extreme levels, but he was trying his best to control himself.
He was in a moment of stress and danger. A date with Uraraka.
He didn't know how it had come to this. He had only asked her if she wanted to accompany him to one of the night fairs and she had unhesitatingly said yes. He wanted to enjoy some time with Uraraka, knowing that she deserved some of his attention after helping him with many things in his life. They got ready and headed out, having a small plan to enjoy the fireworks and whatever food they could find. Just the two of them.
An hour passed and it was there that he realized halfway through that he was technically on a date. The first of his entire life. He was walking with a girl who was very close to him, and it made this one blush every time he thought about the idea that he was with her alone.
But it was a special blush. He realized that it was nothing compared to those of other times. He saw with his eyes a different Uraraka. A more tender hair, brighter eyes, and a figure that captivated his gaze. Two years of friendship passed, and he realized how beautiful the girl was.
He wanted to say something, but during the whole date only vague words came out that made the girl confused. He was lucky that she took it as normal, because anyone would walk out of there after seeing a nervous boy like him.
Uraraka realized that she had smeared some mochi on her face, and was about to wipe it off, until Deku suddenly decided to jump in with the idea of using his napkin to wipe it off. This made the girl blush, but she accepted the boy's offer to help her. Deep down, however, she felt as if her greatest desires were coming true. It was a perfect date for her.
Deku was carefully wiping the girl's face, removing the remnants of the dessert that littered her pretty face. Her round cheeks made this one see how tender she was when she was close. Uraraka closed her eyes to prevent any of the remains from getting inside, not realizing that his friend was blushing at his action.
It was there that his heart dominated his mind. Slowly, he brought his face closer to hers, wanting to see her more closely. To feel if there was still mochi left on her face. To touch her lightly. But a few seconds before they made lip contact, Deku stopped. He was lucky she wasn't watching because he looked red as a tomato. He had dared to kiss her without her noticing.
