When the 4 of them arrived at the Internet graveyard they quickly packed some supplies and tools and then made their way into the forest, towards the fanfiction trope area, that Boopkins has decided to call the "TROPE-ical forrest"

He thought his pun was clever, but no one else seemed to agree.

On the way there, SMG3 kept looking at SMG4.

This wasn't the first time he had to rethink his feelings towards this man.

It's true that they started out as rivals, that SMG3 used to be jealous of him and that he used to loathe him. But over the years, after the many random adventures they had, those feelings started to change. What started out as a rivalry slowly grew into a kind of friendship.

SMG3 still made fun of SMG4, but he has also learned to appreciate him. He has started looking up to him, enjoying the time they spent together, and even..

SMG3 stopped himself from continuing on that train of thought. It was too painful, too embarrassing. He had already made up his mind about that.

After first landing in the Internet Graveyard, he had a lot of time to think about himself and his rivalry with SMG4. He started to regret the way he treated him and really wished he could apologise. This desire to apologise in some way turned into motivation for SMG3 to work on himself and become a better person. And before he even realized it, the thought of SMG4 and the possibility of seeing him again didn't just motivate him Three it also made him happy, like he was starting to...

SMG3 sighed loudly and rubbed his eyes. The others glanced over to him, but SMG3 just waved them away, signalling that "everything's fine, keep walking."

And everything WAS fine - back then. Things were calm and he enjoyed his time as the ruler of the internet graveyard. But then this whole Meme Guardian stuff happened.

Don't get him wrong; It was really cool to learn more about his origins and the Meme powers. But the revelation of their origins made him question everything he knew about his relationship to SMG4.
By this point he had accepted that he.. he.. UGH.. that he had a crush on SMG4. THERE! He said it! Well.. he didn't say it, he thought it, but still.

After they learned about the Meme Guardian thing though, he began to doubt himself. Were his feelings real, or was everything just Meme-Power influencing him? Did he even really love SMG4 or was it all just cosmic magic bullshit that he had no control over? Could he ever really love him?

These thoughts weighed heavy on his mind and kept him awake for many nights. He tried his best to let go of his feelings for SMG4, but no matter how hard he tried; they wouldn't disappear.
To his defence, SMG4 also didn't really make it easy for Three to let him go. The constant adventures they went on, the jokes, the conversations, he handholding...

It all dragged SMG3 right back towards SMG4.

He has considered just being honest with SMG4. Tell him the truth. But the fear of rejection kept him away. And what even IS the truth? DID he love SMG4 or was it just their Meme Energy reacting?

Which one did he want to be true?

He looked back at the string on his hand, tightening his hand into a fist. The Universe has apparently decided that they were soulmates.

Meant to be together.

Destined for each other.

As cheesy as it sounds, he would love nothing more than be with someone that loves him as much as he loved them. But as long as he wasn't absolutely sure that his feelings for SMG4 were real and not just "destiny", that dream was out of reach for him. Especially since his supposed "soulmate" didn't seem to feel the same.

At all.

The way Four kept referring to him as his "friend" kind of stung and the fact that he couldn't see the red string must mean something as well.

"I wish you could see it too."

"What?" SMG4 turned towards SMG3, which informed SMG3 that he said his last sentence out loud.

"UH NOTHING. BAKA." God, why did he keep using that word?

"Anyways, look" He quickly pointed towards the pink trees.

"We're here."
