But anyway today I'm here to talk to you about ✨the romance✨ in your fics.
Obviously not all fics have romance in them (and I eat that shit up too) but i don't think I've ever seen a single twq fic where the main character didnt romance one of the core three
(Aka Edward, Richard and George)
While writing the romance, it can be difficult to decide when your characters should actually get together you know? Yes it's difficult but that's why you should plan your story out ahead of time
Your character should NOT in absolutely ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM be in love with the love interest in your first 3 chapters.
The small problem with TWQ is that there are a lot of time skips, to that I say add in a lot of your own scenes so your oc and the love interest can develop their relationship
I read a book once where the oc and the love interest got together, kissed and slept together in the span of five chapters and I was like:

This wasn't a twq fic but the rules of writing romance apply to every fandom the same way
The only thing I'll accept is if your oc and the love interest get married BEFORE they fall in love because it's a political match (see: my book Cursed or Edge of Desire by my bestie teaandcrumpets05)
That throws the characters into a whole new set of circumstances and it can heavily impact their relationship
Other than that I don't want to see them doing anything romantic until you've properly established that they care for each other and they trust each other. Make a lot of your own scenes where their relationship grows and flourishes and THEN add the big confession, kiss or whatever you want to do.

There are a lot of different love stories you can work with. A romance that is enemies to lovers will not have the same dynamic as friends for lovers or arranged marriage to true love or soulmates or love at first sight. That's the fun of things! You can explore your characters relationship and feeling towards the love interest and see how things play out!
I really suggest making an overall plan for the love story as it can get quite difficult keeping track of it while writing for the main plot of the show. Make sure that you work through it properly!
