The 8th Sparrow

Why me?

She was sat down on a wooden bench, forgetting that the keys are in her boots. It was complete silence until Diego interrupted,

"Five, why did you bring a bird with us?"

"It's because we need information on how the sparrows plan to kill us, and everybody thinks she's the most powerful," Five replied as Catherine tried to enable her freeze ray.

"Can't she just steal your power and teleport out?" Diego asked

"No, Diego, your idiotic brother has my powers trapped inside this stupid cuff," Catherine replied, pointing to the gold metal locked onto her wrist. 

Five smirked, that pissed Catherine so much that if she had her powers she would melt him on the spot. Catherine punched him in the face which Five dodged by a Millimeter. She then kicked him in the shin making him lose balance she then quickly got Diegos knives making Diego tut. She placed Diego's knives on Five's neck threateningly.

"Five, I swear if you don't get me out of this cuff," she started. 

But, the boy just teleported behind her and choked her,

"First, No, Second, I have no idea how to get you out of those," he replied.

"UGH! IDIOT!" Cathy said as she threw the knife back to Diego which he caught, "There is this key that you have to unlock here." Cathy was thinking of ways to get back, creating utter silence.

"Well, that went well, didn't it?" Diego said sarcastically, with anger laced in his voice.

"No, not our best work, but at least we have somebody," Five replied looking at Catherine.

"Why me?" Cathy muttered under her breath.

"I'm Cracking" said Klaus happily as he cracked his back on the table. 

"You Alright?" Allison says to Luther.

"I'm Fine, ya, I've just never had my *ss handed like that to me before like," Luther acts out "Here you go! It's your *ss!" Catherine giggled at the acting, it was first thing in the whole morning that made her smile.

"Okay, I think Luther is concussed," states the Allison 

"Luther, how many fingers?" Klaus asked, holding up 3 fingers. Luther had a shocked expression but, Cathy settled her eyes onto him trying to steal his powers. She lets out a sigh, which Five grins to.

"Oh my god! Vanya!" Luther says as he sees a a girl walking to them. Vanya doesn't look that much hurt, but, she looks exhausted. Her eyes lands on Cathy. 

Cathy walked up to her and asked if she liked the hair she did for her. Vanya just smiled softly and nodded. "Thank god you're alive! You are my favorite of your entire family," says Cathy.

"And so is Ben!" Klaus adds.

"But he's a complete d!ckhead,"

"They're all d!ckheads,"

"Hey, watch how you're talking!" Cathy said

"D!ickheads who can fight!" Luther said.

"Okay, the next person that says D!ckhead is getting a punch in the throat," Five threatens.

"D!ckhead" says everybody.

"Hey, did Dad tell you why they were calling them his kids?" Diego questions.

"He did! So he was so opposed by us back in 1963 so he adopted a whole different group of children just so he didn't have to raise us." Cathy almost felt sorry for them until she realized that took her hostage.

"That's just peak dad," 

"Isn't it?"

"He didn't want us"

"Did he ever?"

"I think you're all missing the big big picture here," Five states, "If Dad didn't adopt us as kids, it means he changed the whole timeline, who knows what difference he made?"

"Shouldn't you know?" Allison questions

"No, Allison," Five said sarcastically smiling, "I'm trying to make sure this nasty 54 year old in a 14 year old body, who knows way more than I do about time travel, not run away, Is that okay with you?"

"No, it's not!" Allison snaps back.

"Guys, look, it's fine." Vanya failing to reassure the siblings and stop them from murdering each other "We still have the commission's briefcase, so worst case, we can just go back in time and fix it" she says looking around at everyone avoiding eye contact with her.

"Great!" Klaus snaps his fingers pointing to Vanya but looking at Luther

Five says, "Okay," and stands up. Cathy continue to sit down, "There are two problems with that statement," Five adds. Time travel is difficult, people," Klaus adds, laying both of his hands on his lap and turning away from Five in irritation. 

Five restarts, but is once more stopped. "Yes, we get it. Your work is hard. Diego yells indignantly at Five for trying to give them a time travel lesson, "Just...what?" Clearly frustrated, he says

"And secondly..." Five snaps at his brother for preventing him from educating them, clearly enraged. "I no longer have the briefcase,"

And that was the calm before the storm. Everybody starts panicking. They were so distracted that they didn't see Cathy running away from them and into the house. Fei was in the yard eating Food.

"Fei,"

"God! You're back!"

"And you were eating Food?"

"NO! I mean yes but, I didn't forget about you!" 

"Okay where is the key to this?" Cathy said pointing to the cuff.

"Oh! I'm pretty sure it's in your-" Fei replied before a blue light flashed in and out.

Five was holding Cathy in a chokehold.

"Running away? Huh?" Five released her, smirking.

"If I had my powers right now I would-" Cathy started

"But, you don't, do you?"

Cathy just scoffed and rolled her eyes, walking with Vanya.

"So, where are we going?" She asked Vanya.

"I have no Idea just follow Klaus, I guess?" Vanya replied

"Your brother is a real jerk sometimes you know?"

"I know"
