Chapter 26

Violets POV
Luke and I have been home for a while. Back to reality. As soon as we go home Luke had to go to New Mexico for a case and I was back to work. I haven't been feeling well for a few days now. I automatically think, could I be pregnant?. It's completely possible. I love kids, having a family would be great, but is it rushing? We've only been together for 9 months, quick by most standards. I go to the store, buy 5 test and go home to take them. I wait for 2 minuets, it seemed like forever, then the timer went off. I turn each one over, all of them showing 2 pink lines. "I'm having a baby" I said to myself. A few hours later Luke came home. I figured I should tell him now. "Hey babe" I say walking into the spare bedroom. "Yeah" Luke says looking up from his stack of paperwork. "I think we need to do something with this room" I say "some paint, maybe yellow, oh and some decorations" "um yeah it could use some paint, but why yellow. It's not a very good colour for an office" he says "we'll it's neutral" I say "babe neutrals are creams, browns, white" he say walking over to me "do you know your colours" he says jokingly "yes I do, but beige isn't very cute" I say hoping he'll get the message. "Wait.." He says puting the pieces together "yellow, neutral, cute. A baby?!" He asks taking my hands in his "finally, I was thinking I was just going to have to tell you" I say smiling. "Oh my god, we're going to be parents" Luke says smiling "yeah, I found out this morning" I say. Luke kisses me. "I love you violet" he says "I love you too" I say. "Ok first thing tomorrow morning were getting paint. My child is not going to live in a room that looks like this" Luke says still smiling
