Chapter 4: Searching for clues

The next morning you wake up and you feel terrible. You could not sleep calmly knowing that Bryce his body is still laying in the lounge downstairs. You look to the other bed and you see that Lisa is still sleeping. You are happy that she was able to get some sleep.

Also you are glad to have her as a roommate, instead of a shady kind of guy like Caleb or a snoring person like Jase. You silently dress yourself and head downstairs.

Jase is already eating his breakfast in the kitchen. He looks very tired. It's like Jase got the eyes of a panda combined with the energy of the sloth.

You: "Morning how are you doing Jase?"

Jase: ''Not great man, how are you?

You: "I have had better nights"

Jase: ''I did not sleep at all last night.''

You: ''Well I can imagine the murder of last night makes it hard for anyone to sleep well.''

Jase: ''That's true, but that is not the only reason. The other reason is that my roommate is talking in his sleep.''

You: ''Oh really?' You don't hear that everyday'

Jase: ''Yeah man. I don't know what he is talking about. I just try to ignore him''

You: ''Is James still sleeping?''

- Jase: ''No. The guy has been doing yoga for like half an hour already''

Jase angrily points at the window. You see James laying or sitting in a weird position on a mat. It reminds you of the game Twister, because the pose looks very uncomfortable, however James looks totally relaxed. Jase has picked up on your weird look and says he does not understand anything about yoga either. Then some other guests are entering the room. Its Lisa and Michaela. You say '' Good morning ladies. How are you? Did you sleep okay?''

Lisa smiles at you and says ''good morning, I'm just glad I fell asleep. Thank you'' Michaela answers '' fine, but I heard Ani had a pretty bad night and Cheryl did not sleep at all'' They must still be dazzled from last night. ''I guess we can thank Jase for that'' You all look around and see Athena standing in the doorway. Jase is instantly offended ''What do you mean by that?'' Jase and Athena have a stare down. It is clear that they don't like each other. Before Athena can answer the question, the butler walks in and tells everybody that it's time for a meeting.

You and the group gather in the living room. You all sit down and the butler tells the group that he will be leading this meeting. The butler says '' Good morning everyone. I hope you managed to get some sleep last night. Today we must inspect the body of our beloved host.

Last night I came up with a method to do that. I believe this is the best way to investigate the body''

You all stare at the butler.

He explains '' Everybody is going to investigate the crime scene individually. I will take you to the lounge one by one. You can investigate the body and the rest of the room for 15 minutes. After that I will pick up the next person and when everybody is done we will all discuss what we found'' It's a well thought out plan. Investigating individually means you have time and space to calmy take a look at the crime scene and you cannot be influenced by each other. However Caleb spots a loophole. ''Hey Butt, what if you are the murderer? You could have disposed some of the evidence already'' The butler replies '' I can assure you that nobody has entered the lounge, after you found the body. Besides I designed this way of investigating to make sure nobody can dispose some evidence when we are all in the room'' Caleb leans back in his chair '' that would be stupid and hard to do anyway'' The butler continues '' While you are investigating I will watch you like a hawk. If somebody does anything suspicious I will point that out in our meeting. Feel free to watch me as well, if you don't trust me. However I would advise you to focus on solving this case, so we can all go home''
