Chapter 6: Silence before the storm

You arrive behind the mansion. Cheryl and James are the ones searching in this section. They found the necklace broken and burned in a firepot. Cheryl has kneeled down besides the firepot and Cheryl is in tears over the ruined Necklace.

Archie asks if she is okay.

Cheryl cries ''No! the killer someone stole the necklace and tried to ruin it, just to make me miserable. Athena says '' it must have been the killer'' James looks at you and sarcastically says '' good luck taking fingerprints from that'' You realize that even though the necklace is found, it did not bring you to the murderer directly. Cheryl is very emotional. She ''

Cheryl screams ''This is insane, what does this killer have against me? I hate all of you''

Cheryl stands up and pushes you aside. She and storms off to the mansion.

Jase picks up the broken necklace and everybody goes back to the mansion.

Once back in the mansion, Michaela and Lisa see the group arrive and hold a meeting in the living room. Archie is comforting Cheryl in the kitchen, while Jase goes to bring the broken necklace to the butler to see. James notices that Caleb and Ani have not returned yet and decides to look for them.

This leaves you, Athena, Michaela and Lisa.

''Did you find the necklace?'' asks Lisa ''Yeah who had it? Asks Michaela.

Athena answers ''James and Cheryl found the necklace in a firepit behind the mansion''

''didn't you hear the scream?' you ask.

''No but we found something else, you need to look at this'' says Lisa with a serious tone

You and Athena follow Lisa and Michaela to the living room.

Lisa and Michaela show you and Athena the others the photo album.

Lisa shows the 2021 team photo and points at the devil sign behind Jase's name. Lisa asks the group what they think about their discovery. ''Am I missing something?'' says Ani in confusion.

Athena says '' Bryce clearly hated Jase and probably vice versa.''

''I think you are right'' Says Lisa and Michaela looking at the photo.

You do not understand Jase his motive yet, but you indeed notice that Jase is not in the 2018 team photo. You say ''let's ask Jase tom explain all of this'' Speaking of the devil, Jase enters the living room right on cue. Michaela firmly points out the photobook and directly asks Jase to explain what happened. Michaela's dark eyes glaze at Jase, like he has just called her fat. Jase immediately feels attacked, as all the eyes in room are pointed at him.as her. Jase asks ''What is going on here?''

''You lied to us about never meeting Bryce, these soccer team photos are proof of that'' Says Athena, who is ready for a spicy debate. Lisa points out the devil sign behind his name and Michaela demands answers. Jase gets angry and defensive and says ''Are you girls on your period or something?''

That comment make the ladies even angrier. The girls are creating a three vs one situation and Jase looks at you for help. You say '' don't look at me dude, I want to know what's going on here as well'' Jase understands that he hasto come clean in order to gain back the trust of the group 

James, Ani and Caleb return just in time to hear Jase's story. Jase asks everybody to take a seat in the living room. Caleb leans against the wall, while Ani goes and sits beside Michaela on the other side of the room. When everybody sits, Jase starts to explain. ''Sorry I lied to you all. I have known Bryce for quite some time. ''Me and Bryce were both strikers in our soccer team and therefore each other's competition. We both wanted to be the most valuable player on the team. Unfortunately for me, Bryce's father was the coach of the team. In the beginning of the season I was outperforming Bryce, but after the first couple matches Bryce his father benched me every match for the rest of the season''
