Chapter 7: The hurricane

''Can you do something about this?'' Michaela looks at you, thinking you have a way to bring order to the chaos. Still wearing your Pajama you look at the madness in front of you and you decide that there is only one way to silence the room. You, Lisa and Michaela shout ''EVERYBODY SHUT UP RIGHT NOW'' at the same time. Your combined voices overrule the arguing and everybody becomes quiet. ''What is going on here? Lisa asks.

Athena speaks up ''I overheard Ani and Caleb talking about something suspicious'' Everybody looks at Ani and Caleb. Archie adds ''Me and Jase saw Caleb and Ani talk in the forest yesterday. Something is going on here''

''Do you want to explain yourself Ani?'' asks Athena. When Ani starts talking, Caleb tries to shut her down. This results in another yelling contest between the guest. Everybody is shouting until Ani silences the room by screaming ''Caleb destroyed the necklace!'' Everybody is shocked and looks at an angry Caleb.

Cheryl is the first one to react ''What the fuck did you do?''

''Ani you little bitch'' says Caleb while making a step forward.

Athena blocks the way between Ani and Caleb. Ani continues ''The first night in the mansion, I couldn't sleep. When I walked downstairs to look for the toilet, I saw Caleb standing outside next to a fire. I walked outside to ask what he was doing. Caleb immediately threatened me to keep this quiet''

''Caleb threatened you?'' asks Archie while closing his fist.

Ani: ''Yes. I saw that Caleb was burning something, but I did not see what it was. When Cheryl told us about the necklace, I realized that, that must have been what Caleb burned''

Archie looks angrily at Caleb ''You better tell us everything right now''

Caleb: ''Screw you''

Caleb looks at Ani. If looks could kill, Ani would have been killed by a thousand cuts.

You and Jase exchange an serious alarming look. Caleb balls his fist and steps forward, towards Ani. ''You screwed me you bitch, I'm gonna...'' Feeling a arm on his shoulder, Caleb is restrained by you and Jase. Pushing and pulling him backwards.

You say "Caleb! If you don't want to look suspicious you have to tell us what happened"        Caleb takes a look around the room. Looking over your and Jase's shoulder, he sees Lisa comforting Ani. More importantly Caleb sees that Archie is boiling in anger and Cheryl has a furious look on her face.

Caleb: ''Alright fine. You losers won't believe me anyway'' Caleb begins his story. 

Caleb: ''The night Bryce was murdered, I found his necklace on my bed.''

Athena: ''On your bed?''

Caleb: ''Yes. I knew everybody would point at me being the murderer with Bryce's necklace in my possession.''

James: ''So you tried to get rid of the necklace?''

Caleb: ''I had to destroy it, but unfortunately Ani showed up out of nowhere.''

Everybody is shocked by what Caleb just revealed. Caleb had a piece of evidence, but instead of telling everyone, he decided to make it disappear.

You are surprised by what Caleb did and you aren't sure if this move makes him look more guilty or innocent. However Archie doesn't seem surprised, just angry. It looks like he want to say or do something, but so far he doesn't.

You say "So you claim that you found the necklace Caleb?"

Caleb nods

Michaela: ''Oh sure, you found it. You also found the knife in Bryce's chest after you put it there''
