I swore my heart stopped. Every part of me was frozen in it's state, and I gulped. I stared at the shirtless boy not two inches from me in shock.
"H-how... How do you k-know?!" I stutter my question as I feel the heat flooding my cheeks.
"Well, you whispered it in my ear when you thought I was asleep. Then you shouted it and I just barely caught it, but I did. My my, Lucy what where you doing keeping secrets?" He shakes his head.
"Oh shut up, at least I didn't fake being drunk and scare the living day lights out of you!" I fire back, forgetting for a second what he had just told me. Then when I process it I blink.
"Wait, you've known this whole time?!" I shriek and cover my mouth to cap off a gasp. He towers over me and he leans in dangerously close to me, his nose is almost touching mine.
"I had my suspicions before that too Luce," he smirked, "all those times when we slept together, touching hands, hugs that where more intimate than intended, and the occasions where I almost kissed you and you didn't pull away." My mind goes blank before memories spill into it.
"Why didn't you just..." I struggle to piece words together because my mind was going a thousand miles a minute and my tongue was a loose flab of muscle just flipping around helplessly. Natsu smirked at my shambled state and held my face in his hands.
"I didn't tell you I knew because I wanted you to find the courage to say it to my face," he murmurs. I close my eyes and try to look away but Natsu holds my face still and blows softly on my eyelids making me blink.
"Lucy, can you please just confess so I can kiss you already?" He whined and I laughed a bit. I took a deep breath and looked him in the eyes.
"Hey Natsu..." His face perked up a bit, "I hate you," I tease and giggle.
"Aw Heartfilia, that wounds me!" He acts like I've stabbed him and he holds his chest. I hold the edge of his shirt in my hands and he stands still.
"But really... Natsu..." I sigh softly, "I have a crush on you, and I really like you, and I want to go out with you!" I rush out.
Natsu chuckles softly, "Now was that so hard to do?" I look up at him and nod which makes him laugh some more. That's when he stepped closer, held the back of my neck and lifted my head so his lips could brush against mine in what would be my first kiss. My arms wrap around him and lean my head into his chest when we pull apart.

"Do you know how excited my parents will be when I tell them who my girlfriend is?" Natsu asks looking at me from where he was sprawled on the couch. He had slept over and things where a little more interesting than normal, but only a little.
I laugh at his question and set my cup of coffee down. "Your mom will throw a massive party at the idea, and you're asking about how she will react to the real thing?" I scoff and we laugh together. I felt a warm feeling throughout my body. I watched him as he relaxed with his eyes closed on the couch.
Wind picked up outside and I saw more of the turning leaves fluttering to the ground. Fall was here, and it was getting colder, but I didn't have to worry. I had my dorky soccer player to keep me warm. I shook my head, amused by my own thoughts. I threw together some quick breakfast and got Natsu up by kissing his forehead. I had already eaten so I went to my room and changed. When I walked out of my room Natsu was finished and dressed too. I don't comment on his timing, knowing he was a fast eater.
"Hey, Lucy, want to take Wendy to the aquarium with me today?" Natsu looks up from his phone. I nod in response.
"Let's go! I love the aquarium!" I sigh and Natsu leads me out to his car and we head to pick up Wendy. As soon as wee pull up she's racing towards the car and she gets in as quickly as possible.
"Excited much Wen?" I laugh and look back at her. She grins and nods excitedly. I turn back to be facing forward in my seat and I grab Natsu's free hand in mine. Our fingers interlace and I see Wendy eyeing it and me in the mirror. I wink at her sending a silent message and she nods with a grin.
We eventually reach the aquarium and Wendy is out of the car before I can even unbuckle. We all get out and head for the building, with Wendy practically bouncing along the way. Natsu kept his arm around my waist and Wendy held my hand as she always does when we go places. Our arms swayed back and fourth as Natsu paid for us to get in. The first tank Wendy saw was full of jellyfish and she rushed to it.
"They're so majestic," she sighs happily. I crouch beside her and point out how they change colors when passing over different lights and she nods.
"Hey Lucy, do you think I could get a pet jellyfish?" She asks me and I shrug.
"I imagine you can ask your mom for one," I nudge her and she smiles. We continue along behind her and Natsu would occasionally steal surprise kisses from me. I was blushing softly as we made our way out. Wendy was quieter now, looking tired from practically bouncing off the walls. Natsu leaned down and scooped her up and held her so she leaned on his shoulder. We got her in the car and headed back home, I myself was feeling a bit woozy.
"My parents come home tomorrow," Natsu tells me, breaking the silence between us.
"You sound a bit nervous, are you alright?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I'm just worried about my dad. He might be a little skeptical of us now that we have a relationship..." Natsu sighs.
"Well, I'm sure if there's any problem, we can smooth it out. We'll be alright," I assure him and on the rest of the way I don't talk and end up falling asleep, only vaguely remembering being placed on a bed before falling completely asleep again.
