Howling like a pack of laughing hyenas.
Howling like a violent April wind.
Howling like a coyote to a full moon at midnight.
Howling like my dog when she sees me put on my shoes.
Howling like a mother who just lost their child.
Howling like the man on his knees watching her walk out.
Howling so loud it echos through the neighborhood at night.
Howling so whole heartedly it drowns out everything else.
Howling because I'm a lost dog with my tail between my legs. Wandering the streets for the home I once had. Letting out that earth shattering sound as I realize I may never find it again.
