She walked in the library by herself
And picked up a book off an empty shelf
The pages were wearing, seams were tearing
But this was a book that needed sharing.
It said "I am worn but give me a chance,
My outside's not great but my story is grand.
I'm falling apart but don't go away.
I know you can fix me if you'll just stay."
She grabbed a page as it started to beg
For it knew it's pages would soon run red.
She said "you're nothing anyone would want to read"
She tore the page and it began to bleed.
She solemnly placed it back on the shelf,
And left it there bleeding for somebody else.
