Jade Palace

"So what? We just walk into the Jade palace?" You spoke turning the helm of the ship. "Supposedly, Egg Foo was rescued and taken there for protection." Felix stated. "I mean we're here for diplomatic purposes, but without an escort do you think they'll pay much attention to us." Faith spoke up, she held her telescope, "turn right 6 degrees." She said in the middle of her thought. "What am I Pirates Chopped Liver." Monkey King said with his eyes closed. He was meditating while sitting on his staff. "This still isn't adding up," Ryan added. Josh pulled the sails, leaving the mast joining you 6. "Why does Egg Foo need protection if he's one of the best samurai in all of Mooshu." Kai mumbled polishing his weapons. "Exactly my point." Ryan said. "Guys, mooshu isn't Valencia, they're only hostile unless provoked. We go in, ask to speak to egg foo. And then we go on our way." Felix said tossing the anchor as you pulled into the dock. "I have a weird feeling." "That's called almost dying, relax, go enjoy the town and shops we'll be back within the hour." Josh patted your shoulder. Faith gave you a soft smile. She walked over giving you a hug whispering in your ear before she leaned away, "don't listen, shadow and be our ears." She grinned pulling away. You smirked. They all waved you off leaving the ship heading towards the palace. "And then there was one." You mumbled. You sighed, climbing the ladder.
You wandered through the town admiring the beauty of Mooshu. You stopped when you noticed a shop. "Hm." You mumbled as your fingers traced the fabric of the hood. "Ah, that is the Hood of The Ronan." The shopkeeper smiled. "It's the original hood and cloak from Ronan himself." He continued. "I've heard of him, he was Mooshu's greatest protector. Till Kane ended his life." You spoke up examining the attire in your hands. "I must warn you, the items from my vintage shop, they're not ordinary." You raised an eyebrow. "Anywho, is this a purchase?" You glanced at the outfit. "Sure, why not." "Alright that'll be 10, ooo gold."  "10k!" "Vintage honey, original." You sighed handing over the money. You left the shop, walking towards the back alley. Ha can't believe they'd believe I'd sit still. None of this is adding up. I'll always have their backs no matter how mad they get. you slipped on the silver hood, a mask appearing over your face. "Sick..." you mumbled. cloth wrapped draping your legs and arms. Your back tingled. You put a hand tapping your neck, "a bow and arrow? That's random." you mumbled.
"Shadow dance." You mumbled. You disappeared almost entirely. you crept sneaking past the gate guards. "Yeah, I can see why people have been disappearing easily." You mumbled under your breath. You looked around. Guards stood in front of all 4 side doors. "I guess we aren't doing this the easy way." You sighed. You hoisted your self on some vines that grew on the side of palace. You slowly crept your way to the roof. Peering through the skylight.

Faith's POV
"Kai, relax, you're sweating bullets. You're gonna give us away." You harshly whispered. "Something just doesn't feel right, I'm on edge, sorry." You frowned grabbing his hand. You followed the rest of the crew down the halls. "How'd you get diplomacy papers to let us see the Emperor." Josh whispered. "Well I am The Monkey King." Monkey king smirked walking with his arms behind his back. A guard halted you before the throne room. "No one enters the throne room without permission." He boomed. "You're mistaken ," Monkey King held up the sealed document. The guard examined it, looking directly at all 6 of you. he made eye contact, you offered a smile. He then ripped up the document, sprinkling it on the ground. He smirked. "Why does it always have to start with a fight." Ryan mumbled. "I'm tired of this." Kai groaned pulling some rose seeds out of his pocket. He threw thin at the guards feet, the roses growing emiting a fragrance making the guard pass out. "Nice one." Josh fist bumped him. Kai rolled his eyes pushing the Emerald doors open. You loudly gasped. On the throne the Emperor slumped with a sword through his chest. Kai held you, covering your mouth. Josh's eyes widened as he grabbed Felix's arm.
There stood in the throne room, Moo Manchu, Egg Foo Young, and Kane himself. "Ah, pirates, about time you join us." Manchu grinned evily. "Egg Foo." You whispered noticing his eyes were glowing, the same at the students under his spell. "No..." Felix mumbled reaching for his staff. "Ah ah ah, pirates, no fighting until the diplomatic meeting is finished. " You gasped when arms grabbed you, wrapping your arms in chains. "Now, that you're here, pay attention, and remember this moment." Kane smirked. you noticed the clockworks had surprised the others as well, locking you to the pillars at the base of the throne.
"Egg Foo, please your piece of the map." "You see, pirates, my captain would never have let this happen." Monkey King joked. "Shut it Monkey." Felix spat. "Guys calm down, let's think of something quick." You tried to suppress the situation. "You pirates amuse me, you basically led us to the 5th piece of the map, and introduced me to my main trade route partner." Kane boomed as Manchu waved. Egg Foo began unlocking a chest. "Now if you know what's best, I'd offer your pieces of the map, I do tire of our games." He spoke. "I can't reach my daggers!" Kai whispered. "Let me see if I can!" Ryan said. "Yo, don't touch my ass!" Kai whisper yelled. "Oh don't be a baby! Just let him try." Josh hushed. "Enough! Silence!" Manchu boomed. Kane stared directly at you. He snapped his fingers the clockworks raising their rifles, you flinched hiding your face into monkey Kings shoulder. "Well it was nice meeting you pirates, we should do tea some time in the afterlife." He joked. "Seriously." Felix winced closing his eyes.

Josh's POV
"If I move, they'll shoot." Ryan whispered. "I know, just stay calm." You whispered back. "I'm glad I'm gonna die next to my best buds." Kai mumbled. "Awe, we're your best buds." Ryan cooed. "Shut it! Final warning!" Manchu yelled. The clockworks shortened the length between you and them. Egg Foo held a paper, beginning to hand it to Kane. "Nooo!" Felix cried. All of a sudden, the shattering of glass made you flinch. "What The?" Manchu began to yell, several arrows penetrating his chest. "Fire!" Kane yelled. The armadas aimed around. shooting random shots. Wherever they heard a noise. "Ryan now!" Kai yelled." Ryan reached able to grip a blade. He he wedged it into the lock of your chains freeing your wrist. you began doing the same to Ryan and Kai's chains. You jerked your head hearing a loud thud. Egg Foo flew across the room crashing on the dining table. He groaned. Kane raised his blade and gun. "Enough! Reveal yourself!" He yelled,a few of his clockworks surrounding him.
Your eyes widened as a white hooded figure stood feet away in front of Kane staring directly into his soul. the figure raised her bow, "It cannot be! I killed you!" Kane yelled in fear. The figure only slightly tilted their head. "Ronan, This is an Illusion! You won't trick me!" He boomed aiming his gun, The figure shot an arrow clogging the pistol, causing it to explode knocking Kane back. The Figure looked in the direction of the 6 of you. Raising their bow, they fired 3 shots snapping the chains freeing Felix, Faith, and Monkey King. Monkey King rubbed his wrists. "Alright one last hurrah before I retire." He grinned leaping knocking out two clockworks. 3 armada raised their rifles, Felix summoning a shield. The hooded figure slid knocking 4 of them out. Kane crawled reaching for the map piece. The hooded figure raised their bow firing a an arrow into his hand. "Ahhh!!" He yelled in pain. The hooded figure looked back at the group of you. Then without hesitation sprinted snatching the map piece, shooting a rope back to the ceiling ascending away.
