the story of persephone and hades

chapter 1

Hi so my first language is not English so if I make a grammar or spelling mistake please just ignore it
(actually my first language is greek and demeter calls persephone kore/κόρη cuz it means daughter in greek)

Persephone pov

As i was sitting in the field a familiar voice called me it was my mother demeter.
"kore where are you sweetie come here I need to talk to you"
my mother said I wonder what she has to tell me I got up as quickly as possible and I run towards her she seemed quite angry I asked her
"mother what happened?"I was getting worried she opened her mouth and said
"your father wants you to visit olympus he said that it is time for you to be apart of the gods but don't worry kore it will only be for a day I promise you that I will not let you father do whatever he wants"
I was a bit surprised why would father want me to go to olympus
"what do I have to do there"
there must be a reason he wants me there and I want to know the reason my mother took a deep breath and said "he wants to know about your future husband but don't worry that won't happen I won't let anyone lay a hand on my daughter"
i was completely shocked I didn't know what to say at the end I told my mother "I know how much you care about me mother I love you" she puts a smile on her face and says "I love you too sweetie"

On olympus

Hades pov

"So brother, how have you been? I know the underworld is not the best place to live"

"I am fine I actually enjoy living in the underworld i don't have anything to do here in olympus or down at the earth."

"Is that so? So brother I know that the underworld has been without a queen for quite a while?"
Hades was quick to respond

"So what about it. The underworld already has a king I don't think it needs a  queen also I don't think I am ready to take a wife"

"Nonsense you know what I think I think that my daughter persephone would be both a great queen and a great wife why don't you marry her and don't worry about demeter she has to understand that persephone must be wed someday."
Hades didn't know what to say he hadn't thought about taking a wife at all. He didn't want to force anyone to live with the dead without a drop of sunlight he didn't mind, but he knew that almost all of the goodness wouldn't want to live in the underworld

"I am fine without a wife brother I been without one for centuries. I don't see why I should be wed."

"Could you please stay for today to see her she will be visiting olympus today. Maybe you will change your mind once you see her."
Hades knew that Zeus wouldn't let him go either way, so he decided to stay without a fight
"Very well, but don't expect me to change my mind"

Persephone pov

I haven't been to olympus many times in my life, so I was a little nervous at first I was walking towards the palace to find my father. Though I don't really see Zeus as my father he never cared to come and seen me to be honest I didn't really cared I had my mom with me though my mother can be controlling and she doesn't let me do a lot of things I know that she does it to protect me.
As I reach the front door of the palace a loud voice welcomed me.

"Persephone how have you grown since the last time that I saw you."
He was sitting with a unknown men as the men turned to see me I saw the most handsome men I have ever seen in my life he was breathtaking. He looked like he was in his mid twenty but I know that he had probably lived a few centuries he had black hair and sharp characteristics and he had the prettiest eyes the were pitch black.

"Hello I am persephone daughter of Zeus and demeter it's a pleasure to meet you."
He started at me for a few seconds until he responded

"I am Hades God of the underworld it's a pleasure to meet you persephone."
I blushed a little as I heard him calling my name
After that father said that he wanted to talk to me in private and hades felt.

"So father what do you want to talk about."

I hope you liked the first part of the series I love the tale of persephone and hades I grow up with it and I know that my retelling is far from the original story but I really like the way it turned out
