1966
It has been two year since America joined the Vietnam war to support South Vietnam. This is Tom's debut in the US army and he's very excited. Right now, all the boys are chilling at the park and sitting down. Tom was 18, Ben was 17, Marty was 15, Robert was 13, Mikey was 12 and Henry was 11. Tom is the oldest brother, who makes sure all the brothers are well behaved. He has bright green eyes and brown hair with a scribble of beard. Ben is tough and strong minded person who take things seriously. Marty is an annoying person but a bodybuilders body at a young age and nearly taller than his two oldest brothers. Robert is a charming and sweet boy who has high social skills. Mikey is a quiet, independent and cleverest out all of them. Henry has low serious learning disabilities and does understand things bit as much.
They were chilling with their father, General Thomas Sweet Sr, British army WW2 veteran. A tough, half strict and wise man. That's Tom's role model. Tom want to be like his father very much. Thomas sr has a strong and posh british accent as the kids have an american accent. Henry was writing in his notebook. Marty and Ben were talking. Mikey and Robert got up to play football. Tom and Thomas were both looking at the river. Thomas saw Henry writing with hardness.
Thomas: son, what are you writing?
Henry: Um... fantasy stories.
Thomas: fantasy stories?
Tom: I think that's with dinosaurs and dragons. I think.
Henry: Yeah that one.
Thomas: That's boring. Write war stories, kiddo.
Henry: Yes dad. I will. I want to. I'm going to join the army like everybody else and write my experience.
Thomas: Good boy!
Tom: No.
Thomas: Why son? It's your granddad's last wish, for all you boys to join the army for 2 years. 2 years!
Tom: Henry has problems.
Thomas: he will he fine, Tom! I'm the dad. When you become a dad, then you can do whatever you like with your children.
Tom: You know what I mean, father.
Thomas: Yeah, I hate it as much you do. Gonna have to live with it. Anyways, junior, you going to Vietnam as an army Private.
Tom: Yeah, I'm looking forward to it.
Thomas: Good. After you gone, Ben will go. Ben, you hear me?!
Ben: Yeh, father? What's wrong?
Thomas: you gonna be an army soldier when you are an adult.
Ben: Oh yeah. I can't flipping wait!
Marty: me too! What about Robby and Mike?
Thomas: them as well, Martin!
Marty: I can't wait!
Ben: Easy, Marty. We only serving for 2 years.
Marty: I want to be General.
Thomas: Good Boy! General Marty Sweet. I like it. It's amazing. I hope I see the day you become one.
Marty: me too, father.
Thomas: So, Junior, you applied?
Tom: Yep. I'm going to the 4th Infantry Division. Couple of my friends going there.
Thomas: you should have stayed in military school.
Tom: It's so boring, dad. So boring. I wanna join the army quicker.
