'Within 16 months Mari lost her mother, a brother and her dear father.

Now it was just Mari and her little brother. After about a week on the street, begging for food, Elliott started blaming Mari for everything like if she wasn't born her parents would have never died. Mari couldn't take the blame any more, they were starving to death in the woods looking for food. Her brother still hated her for everything, when something just snapped. The necklace that her father gave to her all those years she kept was....glowing. A bright green shined out of the necklace and her eyes turned into gray, just a colorless gray. Mari grabbed a tree banch and snuck behind Elliott. She raised the branch uncontrollably above her head, stricking her brother's neck. His screams were loud so she covered his mouth with her hand. A pool of blood surrounding her feet and the now lifeless body. Mari didn't say anything, only a smile appears on her face. What did she do next? The next best thing, she started eating and gobbling down his blood, biting and chewing his inners. She felt so happy, she didn't want the moment to end. But then she remembered something.

Those were the words her father always sang to her, when she felt scared. Mari would keep smiling and sing along with him. It was one of the only happiness she received.

That's when she snapped back to reality. Forgetting what all just happened.
