Upon arriving home I made a bee line towards Izuku's room, I didn't bother knocking and stormed in to shake him awake “Woah Y/n, what's wrong?” I took a step back and practically yelled “What's this I hear about you having a quirk?”

He just stared at me blankly before he asked “Who told you this?”

“What does that matter Izuku? Do you have a quirk or not?” He gulped before stuttering out “Yes, I have a quirk!” My arms fell loosely to my sides, I felt as if I had no control over my body.

I shook my head “So you and mum have just been playing me like some sort of fool?” He quickly stood up and went to reach out for me but I stepped back “Don't touch me! You've made my life a living hell! Everyday I'm told off for something I can't control, but yet you've also had a quirk!”

He opened his mouth but I didn't want to hear any more so I turned and left his room, heading to my own.

I heard Izuku's feet rushing across the floor “Y/n, wait!”

“What's going on?” I stopped and looked to mum “Did you know he had a quirk?” She looked over at Izuku.

“Is it true Izuku, you have a quirk?” I turned to look at Izuku who looked between us both and then slowly nodded.

I let out a breath “So you saw how mum put anything to do with me to the side to protect you because you were quirkless and still decided to not tell anyone. What a brother you are!” Mum was crying, I thought she might be realising how she treated me but I couldn't be more wrong.

“So both my babies have quirks? I'm so happy!”

I looked at her shocked “You're not even going to apologize for always putting me last, for all these years?”

“How have I been putting you last?” I shrugged, throwing my arms in the air at the same time “Oh I don't know, calling me inconsiderate for anything I ever said. Saying any achievement I ever made was nothing compared to that done by Izuku. Saying I didn't deserve a quirk, even saying it on the day I used it to save my life! You haven't told me well done, ever! I could never do anything right in your eyes and you put me down for it, every single time. Can you even begin to imagine how I've felt all these years?”

“I was just trying to protect your sibling bond, I didn't wish for Izuku to resent you because you had something he didn't.” I scoffed before a bitter laugh left my mouth without my control “Oh, is that it? Well mother, you made me resent him because he stole my mum! He had something I wanted more than a quirk, he had a loving parent whilst I just got stuck at the school gate! But don't worry, you've revealed today that you were the one that just decided to push me to the side, as you now consider me some sort of equal to your precious baby boy!”

“I always picked you up from school!” I hummed.

“It was a metaphor! Teachers only allow for students to leave when their parents come to collect them!” She began to cry, Izuku then stuttering “She didn't mean it mum. Y/nn*, tell her you didn't mean it!” I roughly wiped my cheeks “Oh I meant it, Deku.”

I just began my journey towards my room again and slammed my door closed before making my way over to my bed, dropping down onto it. Curling up into a ball I hugged my pillow, lifting it up to my face when sobs began to wrack my body.

After crying myself to sleep I had enough energy to face work.

A singular packet of gum was placed on the conveyor belt, I looked up to see Izuku. Grabbing the gum I scanned it and went to announce the price but he grabbed another off the shelf that sat next to me. “Please, I need to talk to you Y/n!” Grabbing his second packet of gum I said “I'm at work. That'll be-” He grabbed another “I only just got my quirk.” I hummed as I just scanned the third packet “I really couldn't care less Deku.” He sighed and placed down an All Might figure.

I looked up at him and raised an eyebrow “Peace offering... This is my rarest All Might figure.” I raised an eyebrow “Why would I want it?” He began to stutter.

“Well, you must like All Might, he saved you.” I just stared at him for a while before laughing “Because All Might saved me, it makes it so that event was completely fine. I got shot but at least I got to meet All Might, right?” He gulped, I forced a smile “Everything was dandy that day because I got saved by the oh so loved number one! Well you want to know something Deku, I wasn't saved by him. I was saved by someone who deserves to be number one so much more than All Might, because he doesn't do it to flash some false smile in the darkest of times but to save people. So take your stupid All Might figure and leave!”

“Y/n I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you!” I grabbed the figure and held it out towards him “That's why you brought this! The symbol of all the time mum put into satisfying your every whim! Whilst you got all these figures I was lucky she spent money on clothes for me!” He slowly took his figure from my hands before beginning to walk away, him lifting his head to look over his shoulder and look towards me.

Turning my head I cleared the scanned items from the computer screen and looked to the next customer who was the true hero behind my bosses fairytale story.

As I went to ask my usual employee question he spoke “It's my own fault if I haven't got something I wanted so worry about what you want.” I offered a faint smile, taking that his comment came from seeing what happened between me and Izuku.
