Night comes and all of the victors are put in three separate arenas. In the third and final one, Nicholas wakes to a room with two others. Suddenly Rita screams as the shadows of Nicholas and Carina haunt her. Then the place turns black and Carina screams, since she was afraid of the dark. Finally, a thunderstorm crackles and lightning flashes and due to Nicholas's fear, sees a rock in the wall etched like Mirabella's face. Rita is haunted by the shadows that appears as the lightning flashes, Carina freaks out when everything goes dark and Nicholas tries to stay calm but panics when he hears the crackling of the storm and seeing Mirabella's rock face. Due to the panic and fear, someone accidently murders someone else due to trying to stop it. When someone dies, all of the fear stops and a door opens and they escape to the next challenge.
