Flinging her towering closet open, Lindsay forcefully grabbed the massive suitcase before plopping it wide open on the mattress of her bed. She then proceeded to march back over to the closet before grabbing mounds of clothes by the pile in her arms before dumping them inside the suitcase, not even bothered to make sure it was piled in neatly.
Yanking open the drawer of her desk, she pulled out her many text books before thrusting them into her suitcase. However, the aggression in her actions caused one of her poorly stuffed in jumper to fall off from her suitcase to the wooden floor.
"Sh*t" she mumbled angrily before bending down to pick it up.
Eyes were filled to the brim with tears and her vision blurry, she managed to take a closer look at the beige knitted jumper she was holding. She didn't exactly know why she was blankly staring at it, but she observed that it was a plain beige jumper with no fancy designs woven upon it in gold. Yet, the only thing that made it stand out was a small rip on its right sleeve.
Lindsay let her finger brush over the slit and she felt the heaviness in her chest pulling her entire figure down until she collapsed on her knees in the middle of her room. Namjoon's taunting insults continued to run laps around her mind and her long withheld tears started streaming down before plopping down as tiny droplets on the knitted jumper.
"Just plain and damaged. The jumper that I should throw away..." Lindsay whispered to herself, in between sobs. "Just like me" her sobs and sniffles worsened as she clutched the jumper to her chest and broke down in tears, all alone in the cold dark room.
The sudden creak of the door being open caused her to gasp and regain composure. She quickly got back up onto her feet and stashed the jumper back in the suitcase before hastily wiping her eyes away and lifting her head at the doorway.
The golden hallway light streamed in through the crack in the doorway and dimly lit the room allowing her to see the dark silhouette of a little boy standing silently by the door.
"Noona?" Seo-Jun softly whispered, and as he hesitantly stepped into the light, Lindsay saw that he had almost a pained expression on his soft features as much as she did. He inched forward, approaching her so cautiously as if one wrong move could make her crumble to pieces.
His big blue eyes briefly met hers and for a moment he was unsure of what to say to comfort the girl who had been the older sister figure he never knew he needed.
A single tear drop escaped Lindsay's eye making her avert her gaze from his. Seo-Jun's eyes flickered over to the messy suitcase lying on the bed.
"Are you going somewhere?" he asked gesturing to it.
She sighed and responded in silence before moving over to her suitcase that Seo-Jun reminded her about. For a moment, she said nothing as she put more clothes inside before shutting the suitcase close by swiftly zipping it up.
