One thing had become clear.

Crown prince Alver Crossman definitely did not deserve Choi Han. If his feelings for Choi Han were so fickle that he could be distracted by the charms of the villainess, he was entirely unworthy to be Choi Han's partner.

Of course, Roksu had already felt that Alver was hardly a suitable partner for Choi Han but this scandal confirmed it.

True, there wasn't anything wrong with being attracted to Cale. Roksu could admit after getting to know her that while she was certainly a terrifying and vicious villainess, she was also an awkwardly kind and interesting person. Roksu found that she quite enjoyed the company of her new sister.

But when given the choice between Choi Han and Cale, it was absolutely ludicrous to choose anyone but Choi Han.

If Roksu was a touch more self aware, she would have acknowledged that this was certainly her bias speaking. Most people would want to choose the woman they were in love with as a romantic partner and find anyone else to be unthinkable.

Roksu drummed her fingers against the breakfast table, lost in thought while the chaos of breakfast went on around her. The children were chatting animatedly. Cale was criticizing the food. Choi Han was eating silently at her side.

There was absolutely no reason to shake up a good thing. They were living peacefully and happily without any sort of complications cropping up.

Therefore Roksu had no reason to do anything about this information. If prince charming wanted to seek out his happy ending with the villainess, who was she to stop him? If Cale cared for him as well, that was all the better.

Roksu felt that it was probably for the best to just let things continue as is.

But what to do if Choi Han was hurt by this?

What if Choi Han eventually did develop feelings for Alver and his romance with Cale crushed her?

Roksu really didn't like that.

Still, she wasn't willing to interfere with her sister's blossoming romance, if that was indeed the case.

There was only one solution that Roksu could think of.

She would need to redirect Choi Han's attention so that she wouldn't have the chance to fall for that tasteless prince.

The trouble was, who could she redirect Choi Han's attention towards? It would have to be someone who would remain loyal to her. Someone who realized just how beautiful and wonderful she was. Someone who could afford to give Choi Han all of the luxury she deserved.

"Roksu-nim?" Choi Han's hand rested on Roksu's, a look of concern in her beautiful onyx eyes. "You've barely touched your food."

The children piped in with their own concerns and Cale used it as justification for her complaints but Roksu was struck by a rather bizarre thought.

Why not her?

She loved Choi Han. She was wealthy, attractive, and she would definitely give Choi Han all the love that she deserved.

There was the problem of sexuality that Roksu had yet to broach. For the first time since she had started her life as Roksu Henituse, she really missed her old body. From the novel, she knew that Choi Han could love a man.

Although that didn't mean that she couldn't love a woman.

Roksu's thoughts raced at the pace of her own heartbeat. What if Choi Han could love a woman? Then why not? Roksu was sure she could make Choi Han happy. Maybe Choi Han might not fall in love with her, but Roksu could give her enough love for them both.

It was an insane thought filled with irrational hope. It grew with the feelings that Roksu hadn't dared to let herself express.

Perhaps... it would be worth a try? Just to give Choi Han the option? Roksu would never force or manipulate her, but she could try just a touch of seduction? Just a touch of romance to see if Choi Han could possibly return her feelings or would be happy to receive them?

Roksu brushed off everyone's concerns and turned her attention towards her meal with her thoughts more preoccupied than ever.

She was still lost in her thoughts when she greeted the unexpected guest in front of the mansion.

Roksu raised an eyebrow at the prince, who's sunny smile looked a bit more strained than normal.

"To what do we owe the pleasure of your magnificence, your highness? Truly, I wondered if there were two suns in the sky from your approach."

Alver's expression twitched ever so slightly. "Young lady Roksu, it's always a pleasure to be graced by your eloquence. I'm embarrassed to say that I'm here to deliver a package, but it is always wonderful to be in your company."

Roksu's brows lifted ever higher and the prince hid most of his genuine embarrassment but she spotted the way his ears turned red.

Ah. The kids were definitely onto something. She hadn't thought they were lying but it was quite different to see it with her own eyes.

"The crown prince personally delivered a package to our household? You truly have boundless humility. It's refreshing. I will happily accept the package if you'll be so kind as to give it here."

The pair of them shared a look. It said, quite plainly, I know what you're doing and I'm sick of these compliments, can we call a truce please?

Alver cracked first. "...it's for young lady Cale." He sighed, averting his gaze with a strange expression. "I was hoping to personally apologize to her for the other day."

"What exactly did you manage to do the other day?" Roksu asked, crossing her arms over her chest with an expression of deep amusement.

Alver promised himself that day if Roksu ever had an embarrassing moment he would have no mercy whatsoever. He was going to laugh his ass off while Roksu was the one to squirm for once.

"I was rude to her." Alver explained vaguely. "Would it be possible to meet with her?"

Roksu eyed him critically. She could admit that her feelings towards Choi Han had rather soured her over prince charming but Alver wasn't a bad person. She knew that well enough from the novel and he did appear to be sincere.

She decided to have mercy.

"Before that, would you like to have a talk?"

After all, approaching a vicious villainess with romantic intentions without any assistance whatsoever was a recipe for disaster. He could use a few words to the wise.

Besides, before she'd allow the fickle prince to greet her sister she would have to determine that his feelings weren't a temporary whim.

Roksu wasn't willing to forgive Alver if he managed to hurt two of the women she cared about.
