"You guys must be so hungry; the food just got done," my mom said as she walked to the dining room. I walked by my mom's side as they followed behind us. Once everyone in the house was in the dining room, we all said grace and began to eat. My cousin Aria noticed that I looked a little distressed and asked, "Y/N, what's wrong?" I looked up at her and said, "Remember how I came home looking beat up?" She nodded. "Well, it was because I was hit with a bike." She jerked back. "His bike," I said, turning my head towards the red-headed boy. "Oh my gosh, but he's a total cutie," she whispered.
I kicked her under the table and continued to eat my food. "Uhm, ouch!" she whispered as she held her foot. I didn't pay her any mind; I just continued to eat my food until I felt eyes on me. I looked up from my plate to find that the freckled boy was staring at me. I looked down at my plate and felt my face get hot.
"Why am I getting nervous?" I said to myself as I continued to stare at my almost empty plate. Sure, he's tall and somewhat attractive, but me, Y/N, getting flustered by a boy who hit me with a bike?!
The parents started to talk about work and boring stuff and told the kids to go somewhere else while they continued to talk business. "Hey Y/N," my mom called out. I spun around. "How about you and the kids play upstairs in your room?" I looked at my mom and forced myself to say, "Sure, why not?"
The parents smiled and continued to talk as the three boys stood up and followed me and my cousins to my room. When we got in my room, the red-headed boy sat on my bed, the boys sat on the floor, and me and my cousin's kid just stood there. There was an awkward silence until one of the parents yelled, "Hey kids, there are a few games down here if you want to take them upstairs!" We all looked at each other, waiting to see who was going to go downstairs and get the games. After 2 minutes, the two boys sitting on the floor got up to go downstairs.
Even after they left, there was still awkward silence—well, that was until my cousin, Lala, blurted out, Hey, fire curls." He turned to face my cousin and furrowed his brows. "My name is Scott Tenorman," he said as she walked over to him. Well, Scott, do me a favor and get off my cousin's bra," she said as she pulled the lacey push-up from earlier from under him and held it in the air. My face went blank as me, Scott, JJ, and Aria stared at it. Scott's face began to turn a bright red as Lala went over to put it on my dresser.
Just then, the two boys came back up with a bottle and had fat grins on their faces. As the purple sweater boy and his friend walked in, he started to say, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, my name is Oliver, and tonight we're going to play spin the bottle". Me, JJ, Aria, and Lala looked at each other.
"How are we going to play spin the bottle?" I said as I stared up at him. "Yeah, I don't want to smash faces with my cousin," JJ said as he looked at the bottle.
"How about we play hide and seek?" Scott said as he grinned. "I love that game," Aria said as she did a little dance. "Well, then, hide and seek it is," Scott said as he stood up. "Not it!" Lala and Scott yelled. "Not it," I, JJ, Oliver, and Lucas said. Aria shoved JJ and Oliver out of the way as she stood in the corner and started counting "1, 2, 3, I'm only counting to 100, so you better hide now".
Everyone scattered. Aria had already finished counting by the time I found my hiding spot. I heard her coming downstairs as I opened the dark closet door and went in. I shuffled around and found myself pressed up against something or someone. "Dude, Get your ass off me; this space is small," the person in the closet said as I stepped backward. My blood ran cold as I realized that I was in this tight closet with Scott Tenorman. I didn't even get a chance to react because he grabbed me and turned me around. "You're not Lucas." He says this as his grip loosens. My chest and face pressed up against Scott.
"Uhm, can you please move?" I say this as I use my hands to try and make space between us. "You came in here," he says in a loud whisper. "I didn't know you'd be in here," I say as I stutter. Sure," he says. He attempts to get out by opening the door, but in the process of doing so, his hand brushes against my backside. I shutter as his hand brushes against me. "Why the hell did you shiver? I barely touched you," he said.
I was about to respond, but the door that had once supported my back opened, and I fell back. "Shit," Scott said as he immediately grabbed my wrist, but just as he did that, my cousin Aria also caught me.
"Found you!..Oh." Aria said as she looked down at me in her arms, "Ohh! She said this as she looked at Scott, who was holding my wrist. "Did I just interrupt you guys making out?" She said this as she helped me up. "W-What?!" Scott says as he lets go of me. My face was getting hot. Scott laughed as he patted us both on the back and went on to look for the rest of the group. We followed after him. I found JJ behind a plant; Aria found Lucas under the dining room table; after Lucas got caught, he led us over to the pantry where Oliver was hiding; and Scott found Lala underneath a cabinet.
Scott: How the hell did you get in the cabinet?
Lala: Don't worry about it. Heheh.Shortly after we finished playing, Lucas' mom called the boys and told them it was time to head out. For some reason, I was sad to see them go, even that redheaded weirdo. "Bye guys!" I said as my mom walked them to their car. I went to turn around but was blocked by my cousins, who bombarded me with questions as to why I was in the closet with Scott.
Lala: Girl..in a closet? A closet?!?
JJ: There's no way you made out with freckles.I was so caught off guard that I stumbled to get a clear sentence out. W-wait, wait, what do you mean my making out?" Aria and I make eye contact. "Aria told us she found you and Scott in the cloet," Lala said as she grabbed JJ's arm and dramatically fell. "I walked in without realizing he was in here." JJ looks down at Lala and shakes her off. "What I want to know is how he didn't see you come in."
"I don't know! I walked in backwards, and then I felt something or soeone behind me". "Oh my gosh, so your butt was pressed up against him? How did it feel?" Lala said.
I elbowed her so hard "WE JUST MET! AND HE HIT ME WITH A BIKE". She rubbed her elbow as she clung onto Aria for support.
Just then mom walked in the house and said, "What are y'all still doing up?! Go upstairs and get to bed; y'all have school tomorrow!"
After hearing this, my cousins went upstairs while I hugged my mom" I love you, mom, goodnight," she said as she kissed me on the forehead. "Love you honey"
