2 • heart ache

Mike woke up first lightly flicking Will's forehead to wake him up. The male was laying on his chest with his arms around his waist making Mike unable to get out of bed.

"Will?" He whispered. "Will wake up." He said as he lightly shook the male.

Will's eyes fluttered open as he looked up at Mike. "Hm?" Was all he managed in his half asleep state. "Will get up the others are already up." Will narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. "Mm-mm" he shook his head before plopping it back down onto Mike's chest.

Mike sighed and sat up in the bed making Will get up. Will glared at the male as he sat up, Will had been getting the best sleep he'd gotten in months and being woken up from it made him reasonably grumpy. He grumbled as he got up out of bed and crossed his arms.

"fine let's go wheeler." Mike rolled his eyes at the very grumpy Will who stold above him glaring daggers. He stood up now making Will look up at him. He wasn't much taller than will but tall enough Will had to look up a bit.

"Don't give me that look Will." He chuckled and ruffled the males hair. Will rolled his eyes and allowed the hair ruffling.

"Whatever let's just go." Will huffed and turned quickly on his heel out of the room. They made their way down the stairs together will still being very tired and grumpy said nothing when Steve greeted him.

"What's up with him?" Eddie asked leaning over to Mike. "He's not a morning person." Mike's voice wasn't ridiculing it was actually warmer than Eddie ever thought possible from the younger male. Eddie nodded understandingly. "Same here." Eddie said with a laugh.

Will sat down next to El and let his head fall onto her shoulder. "Good morning Will, you alright?" She asked her voice full of happiness. "How are you so happy this early?" He asked with a grumble. "How are you not? We're finally home." He could practically here the smile in her voice.

Mike came up beside the kissing El's cheek and handing Will a cup of coffee. "Here grumpy." Mike said jokingly before turning and walking away to sit next to Dustin on the couch where they talked about something Will couldn't hear.

Will's cheeks tinted a soft red at the thoughtfulness of the boy. He held the cup in both his hands and looked down at the brown liquid. He knew he was grouchy and clumsy with words when tired but despite that Mike still brought him a gift and that warmed his heart.

El couldn't help but notice Will's reactions to Mike, she wasn't dumb she could tell how much her brother loved her boyfriend. She knew the only reason Will hadn't expressed this was because he was worried about her feelings and hurting her.

El quickly grabbed Max's arm pulling her away from the others. "Max can I talk to you? it's important.." she fidgeted with a rainbow bracelet Max had given her avoiding eye contact with the girl.

"Yeah of course what is it El?" She asked and tilted her head. "Well uhm so you know I'm dating Mike and of course I love him but.." she paused taking a deep breath. "But I don't think I love him like I thought I did I think I love him as a friend."

She paused again finally meeting the girls ocean like eyes. "And I think Will loves him as more than a friend." Max nodded. "I think so as well." Max stated calmly.

"So how do I break up with Mike without hurting him?" She asked quietly. "Tell him what you told me, not the will part of course! I don't think Will is out to the rest of them." Max said.
