I'm really gonna miss you picking fights

Carina was extremely nervous, when the waited for the plane to board. Maya noticed and put a hand on Carinas shaking thigh. "Babe, whats up?" "Mhm. I am a little nervous. I am scared to meet people, i do not want to meet." "Your fathers sister?" "Her aswell." Carina sighed. "Last time i saw her and my fathers older brother, was at my mothers funeral, do you know what they threw at me just after i had lost my mamma?" Maya shook her head. She internaly cursed herself for not asking more, she knew part of Carinas family was not exactly accepting. "They yelled at me, that my mother diing so soon was my fault, it was the pay for my sinfull life." Maya was shocked. "How can they say that?" "I don't know, but if i can prevent it, i wouldn't want to meet them and my father also." "So that is your Zia Maria and Zio Alfredo?" "Yes. And we should aslo avoid my mothers sister Regina. I broke of contact with her a long time ago and she made the effort to write me 27 letters, telling me i was wrong and brought shame on the family." "Okay. What about your other zias and zio and your cousins." "Zia Alexandra and Zio Mario are great. My Zia is my mother other sister and Mario is her husband, but they got married before i was born, so i have always just known him as my zio. And their kids. Marina, Isabella and Alberto are great, too. They are my age, but they don't have kids yet. Isabella is married though. But i am not sure if they are on the island. I believe all three of them moved into the contry." "Okay. So we can meet them." "Yes. I already wrote to Alexandra and she said to just come by whenever." "Alright. Anyone else?" Mayas knew a little about Carinas family, but other than some video calls she had never seen them. She herself hadn't grown up with a big family. Her mother had a sister, who had a daughter but they moved to Florida when Maya was 8 and then they didn't see them anymore. Her dad had no siblings. "Well my mother has two brothers, who live in the contry so on the island noone. We just have to make sure not to run into the others..." Carina internaly freaked out. She was scared of what they would say to their kids and to Maya. She was scared they would hurt them. "Breathe, my love." "I just don't want them to say something to hurt the kids." "We will protect them." Maya pulled Carina close and kissed her head.

The family had gotten a room in a hotel that was specialy designed for families. It had pools and slides and a kids club and a bar and Shows and a kiddy disco and Animation. They spent the first day exploring and checking out all the things that they could do. They also had all inclusive which was so great. They could have ice cream at all times of the day and sandwiches and then a big buffet of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The entire hotel was barrier free and Ellie could cruse around all she wanted. Meena started to call Ellies wheelchair her race car, because she was so increadibly fast going down the ramps.
It was amazing and the family enjoyed it so much, that they waited until the fourth day to leave the hotel for the first time.

The decided to visit Alexander and Mario for the day. Carina asked Mario to pick them up, because they had no car and Mario happily did.

"Carina!!!" Zia Alexandra screamed as Mario drove into their driveway. "Ciao Zia."
"Come stai?" (How are you?)
"Bene, e lei?" (Good and you)
"Bene bene. Oh, questi sono i tuoi bambini sono così carini." (Good good, are these your kids, they are so adorable")
"Si. Questa è Meena, Louise ed Ellie le tripplets e Nina la nostra più grande. Puoi dire ciao zia?"(Yes. These are Meena, Louise and Ellie the tripplets and Nina our oldest. Can you say hello zia. )  Carina said to the girls.
"Ciao Zia." Meena said. Louise hid behind Maya and Ellie just looked at Alexandra.
"Ellie non parla molto e Louise è un po' timida." (Ellie doesn't speak much and Louise is a little shy.)  Carina said. "E questa è mia moglie Maya." (And that is my wife Maya) "Ciao senora Averdi." (Hello Mrs Averdi) Maya said and shook Alexandras hand, latter pulled her in a hug and kissed both her cheaks. "Cosa succede con la stretta di mano? Non lo facciamo qui. E chiamatemi Alexandra." (Whats with the handshake, we don't do that here. And call me Alexandra.)
Maya blushed a little. "Si, okay." Carina took Mayas hand and the Zia lead them into the backyard. "Mi dispiace che la strada non sia abbastanza buona per la sedia a rotelle." (I am sorry the way to the backyard is not good enough for the wheelchair.)
"Non c'è problema. Ellie può provare a camminare." (no problem, Ellie can try to walk.) Carina unbuckled the six year old and Ellie laughed as she tickled her. Carina gave Ellie her hands and Ellie pulled herself up. It was very shaky but step by step Ellie walked towards the porch. "Stai facendo così bene, Ellie." (You are doing so good, Ellie.)
Alexandra said and that made Ellie look at her and loose concentration. If Carina hadn't been catching her, she would have fallen, but Carina got her. "Oh, mi dispiace così tanto." (Oh i am so sorry.)
"Non c'è problema. Stava facendo molto bene ed è molto importante dirglielo." (Its no Problem,  She was doing very good and its important to tell her.")
For the stairs Carina scoped Ellie up and then sat her on a chair next to her big sister. 
"Carina, parlate tutti italiano? Perché il mio inglese è molto limitato." "Comprendi tutti. Maya è sempre molto timida nel parlarlo. Il resto è buono. Ellie sta migliorando nel parlare in generale, ma capisce l'italiano e usa alcune parole." (Understand everyone. Maya is always very shy to speak it. The rest is good. Ellie is getting better at speaking in general, but she understands italian and she uses some words. ) "bene bene."

It was a very nice afternoon. They had cake and drinks and the kids played with Mario in the yard and Nina told Alexandra all about her college plans. She needed a little help from Carina, because some words were just to specific.

When they were just about to serve dinner, which for the italians usually was at 8:30pm but they pulled it foreward for the kids, the bell rang. Alexandra went to open it. They thought nothing of it until Alexandra yelled for her. "Carina. Carina, penso che dovresti venire alla porta." (Carina, i think you should come to the door.)
"Si, Che succede?" She went to the door and what she saw made her stop in her tracks. "Papa. What are you doing here?" "Carina. I want to visit you. Why didn't i know, you were in Sicilia?" "Please leave." Carina said. Alexandra stood in between the two. "This is not your house and not a way to talk to your father." "Vincenzo. Cosa vuoi? " Alexandra said. Vincenzo smiled devilishly. "I wanted to see, if my daughter had made up her mind?" "Why would you care? I told you, i was getting married and you ignored it. I call you and you ignored it for years. Papa. This is none of your business anymore." "So you are still with the woman." Vincenzo said in the most disgusting way. Carina sighed. "Leave." "This is not your house, young Lady." "Well it is Alexandras and she had welcomed me and my family and if you can't see me happy, thats your problem. Leave." "I am not going to put up with your nonsence. You disapoint me every day. I come to think, why Andrea had to die." "Oh yeah. Well if thats what you think, i don't want to see you ever again. You have lost both of your children now. Go live with that." Carina spit. Vincenzo pressed his lips together and grabbed Carinas Arm. "Don't touch me." Carina yelled and pulled her arm away, but Vincenzo held it tight. "You don't deserve anything, you brought shame to my name and you are a useless waste of space in this world." Carina was furious. With all the comotion Maya came to look for them. "Hey. Leave her alone." She yelled. Vincenzo saw Maya and Mario standing in the hallway behind them. "Lascia o sto chiamando la polizia." Alexandra said. "Lascia casa mia, vincenzo." Mario said angrily. Vincenzo pushed Carina away, who stubled and hit the wall. Maya was immediatly at her side and helped her up. Mario and Alexandra glared at him and Vincenzo left.

"Are you okay?" Carina nodded. She had hit the wall with her shoulder and it hurt, but not as much as the words her dad had thrown at her. "Can we get back to the kids... I..I need to see that they are okay. I... I am..." Maya took Carinas face in her hand. "Breathe. He is gone and her is not comming back or we are calling the police. Maya pulled Carina tight, while she shed some tears. "Lets get back outside." Carina said.

"La mamma è triste?" Meena asked as she saw Carina wipe away some tears. "Sì coccinella un po '."
Perché?" "Mio padre era qui e ha detto parole molto poco gentili e mi ha ferito." (Is mamma sad? - Yes, Ladybug, a little- why?- My father was here and he said some very unkind words and it hurt me.") Meena hugged Carina and gave her a kiss. "Te voglio bene, Mamma." Carina smiled and hugged Meena back. "Grazie, coccinella."

The episode was awesome. I melted. I loved it so much. I am so happy. We needed the Marina scenes and they delivered. The showerscenes were perfect.
