The next thing I know I was in the car on the way to the hospital. Despite the pang of guilt when I had to lie to Ishqi and the curious gaze she gave me as if she was about to catch my lie. I didn't want to lie to her but the situation I'm in made me do it. Somehow I need to solve this and knowing all the lies and excuses I made not only to Ishqi but also to other family members is all worth it in the end, and I know I'll make it worth it for myself, for Ishqi.

And for our unborn angel who I know is with me every time,

and will be forever by my side and Ishqi's.

At first, I thought of calling Dr Mehera but then thought that if I called her now and if she might be involved with the person will alert him or her whoever it is. So it was best to go to her clinic uninvited, I had informed Roy the private investigator and he was also on his way to the hospital.

I was halfway to the hospital when I got Kartik's call. Connecting it to the Bluetooth I answered it, "Hello?"

"Bhai app kaha ho? mai bhi aa raha hu." He said and I can hear the rustling sound in the background as if he was finding something.

"Tu kyu aa raha hai Kartik mai yaha sab sambhal lunga tu gharpe rukh"

"No bhai. Not possible, apko kya lagta hai mai yaha chup baith paunga? mujhe chain nahi milegi jab tak app kuch khabar nahi sunate. Ek minute mai room ke bahar ja raha hu" I can hear his footstep stomping on the tiles and some muffled voices as if he was also making an excuse to others going out, I didn't hear properly as my focus was on road and my mind was somewhere else.

"Hello? Bhai are you there?" The sound of his car opening and locking hit my ears. "Kaha ho app?"

"Hospital" and next he ended the call without listening to my further protest not to come, sighing I continued driving.

When I reached the hospital Roy was already standing outside the main door waiting for me. He walked towards me when he saw me, pocketing his phone inside his pants.

"Ahaan." He greeted me with a nod and I returned it with mine, "Mujhe lagta hai pehele Dr Mehera ke pass jana chahiye Security room mai jane se pehele. I doubt ki voh aesa kar sakti hai as you told me she's middle-aged and your family's old doctor. But then who knows what's the truth." This is what I liked about him, 'Straight-to-the-point-person'

"You are right, let's go" I didn't say anything I know he was right and this is what I pay for him.

"Mene ander jake dekh liya hai Dr mehera will be leaving soon unke doo patients baki the abhi ek hi hoga uske baad ham investigate kar sakte hai." He said walking by my side as we go inside and I nod at him not knowing what to answer.

As we were sitting on the bench outside her clinic room the last patient came out at the same time Kartik appeared in the hospital hallway coming to us. Together we went inside to find Dr Mehera packing her stuff and seeing us greeted with a warm smile and also a confused one.

"Mr. Malhotra? Aap yaha. Kya hua?" She asked as confusion flooded her head seeing three of us.

"Need your help doctor and mujhe pata hai app karogi. I need some of your time if you give us" I say my voice exhausted and tired and pleading with all things running in my head.
