Chapter 10

GRAYSON CRAWFORD

- The beginning of something new -

It Monday morning. i spent the whole of Saturday night sitting with Blair and just talking, she's not that bad but i've heard things about her. I don't wanna believe them but so many people have said it, like she cheats on every boy she dates and stabbed all her friends in the back at her old school and treated them like shit.

Practice is today so i grab my bag get dressed, i'm wearing some jeans and a baggy jumper i can't be bothered for today. It's FUCKING Monday, i hate Mondays.

I go down stairs to find nick and daniel eating out my cuboids while my mum makes pancakes for them i smile, you've gotta love them they act like 4 year old boys.

I text Blair she apparently has to go into surgery today because they found a small lump on her chest and wanted to get ride of it before it turns into anything.

The boys finish breakfast and i drove them to school.
Well played Daniels playlist considering he is the princess passenger of my car and decided to buy a hole basket just for himself, it consisted of a blanket, chocolate, movies, books and colouring pencils. The small mirror in the sun protector had a sticker of the words princess passenger on it.

I shake my head and he turns on Taylor swift knowing that i hate her, i beg for him to change the music so he changes to lana del rey which is when i threatened to throw his phone out the window and nick jumps in take Daniels phone off charge and he starts playing his playlist, which i guess is ok. well it will do for now.

We arrive at school and i head into home room ready to sit next to a girl jessie who sits there and reads all the time but never says a word, it's like she's mute.

Ms stacey comes in smiling as always and takes out her things then sits down and takes the register. I pull out my phone to have received a text from Blair.

come to the hospital after school we can start tutoring
if your free
wait ur probably busy don't worry

no wait i'm free it's fine i'll meet u after school

ok bye

Home room ended and i walked to maths, which i fucking suck at because i'm distracted by staring out the window, on my phone or talking to Chloe. I walk in to see Chloe sitting in the seat next to mine, she's wearing a pink top and her hair is slightly curled.

"Hey babe" she calls me over like i'm some dog, what the fuck. i give her a creepy look but she seems to ignore it and continues. I sit down next to her and our teacher walking in.

"hello class today we will be learning how to simplify quadratics using the formula" SHIT i don't understand a single word of what she said. I'm fucked.

I drown out the teacher's voice and stare out the window. I hope she's ok i think to myself but i get brought back to reality by chloe asking if she could give me her notes because i wasn't listen all lesson. I know that i'm supposed to not like her which i don't but she isn't that bad, she has a good heart deep down.

The lesson ended, and i decided to skip geography because it's useless and talk to coach, we have a game next Wednesday against our rivals so we need to stay focused. " hey coach" i nock on his door, "hey Grayson, soeey it's a bit of a mess i've been preoccupied as you may know" he states as i sit down in the only empty seat. "I hope your daughters ok, i. going to see her today after school for a tutoring session do you want me to bring anything with me for you to give to her" i ask but he shakes his head "that girl accepts nothing only on her birthday not even christmas only if it's socks, she is just to humble sometimes that's why she's in this situation" he argues with himself but i don't get involved and just sit back and listen.

"Hey shouldn't you be in class" coach changes the subject "no it's geography, it's pointless" i argue but he shakes his head, rummaged though some paper to find a clean one; writes a note and sends me back to class.

Boo

I don't go back to class yet i decided to take a tour around school and wander round, hide in the bathroom when teachers are near but eventually head back. Miss whatever her names is stands up "WHY ARE TOU LATE" she screams whole class to look at me. "sorry i'm late i was with coach" i explained but she shakes her head "that isn't an excuse, you will have detention with me next Wednesday" she replies "i cant sorry i'm busy with the rival game, we can reschedule" her head goes red and smoke is coming out of her ears "I DONT CARE IF YOUR MOTHER WAS DIEING YOU ARE HAVING A DETENTION WITH ME THEN AND THATS FINAL" she screams and a teach come in.

"what's going on Miss Pine" a teacher asks "This boy -pointing to me- has been talking back to me about a detention i have given him for being 50 minutes late to a lesson" the teacher looks at me "is this true" she asks me. "yes but i have a bloody note which i gave her saying i was with coach and it has his signature and everything, i've done nothing wrong all i did was speak up for myself but got shut down by a teacher who thinks they can control the fucking world when their literally teach pathetic geography that will make no difference in my life, what does sedimentary rocks got to do with anything that will help me go nhl" i reply because it's fucking true i hate school hate work and hate teachers.

Miss pine or whatever her name is, jaws dropped to the floor i turn to the other random teacher so does Miss pine and piney looks all dumbfounded and innocent now im gonna get in fucking trouble, thanks a lot bitch. "that is incredible ly rude and disrespectful behaviour Mr Grayson go to the principals office immediately how dare you speak to a teacher with such language" the other teacher shouted then left the room to wait outside to escort me to the principals office like i don't know where it is.

I walk out the room but i don't forget to flip Miss pine off " no wonder why your still married your a bitch that will die old and lonely with her 56 cats" the whole class claps as i walk out.

What an eventful day.

I walk to the office with the teacher and sit down on the car opposite him.
"I'm so disappointed in you, we need you on the game next Wednesday but now i have to take you off because of what you said about Miss Pine" Principal Jones wines.
"WHAT THE FUCK YOU CANT TAKE ME OFF" i raise my voice as i stand up. But Jones just shakes his head "it's your fault kid you need to control what the tension goes on in there" his says using his hands going round in circles in my direction.

I guess he's right i do need to calm down.
