Chapter 21

BLAIR ADAMS

"Ugh can u hurry up!" i yelled out the window of the car door. A smile reached my face, maybe he isn't so bad to hang out with...

He rushed to the car, running from the rain shutting the door behind him and turning the engine on and we made our way to Hannah's.

"So why you going?" he asked me.

"She texted me when i was drying the dishes, saying that a few people are gonna be at her house and if i could join them if i wasn't busy," while i replied he kept his eyes glued to the road, watching the mirrors, he seemed more cautious than normal...

"Hey, is everything okay?" i asked.

"Fine, why? You worried about me?" he teased.

"Not at all. Intact i'm cautious of my own safety, being in a car with the likes of you, driving at some ridiculous speed. Who knows what's going to happen!"

"How about nothing..." i turn my head toward him "i'm driving at 34 miles per hour... so chill" pointing to the dashboard.

"The speed limits 20, you're going over it. Do you want a speeding ticket?" i replied. "If you get one, don't count on me to pay for it, it's your car,".

"Says the one that failed her theory," he said taking his eyes off the road turning towards me.  "I suggest you should learn to keep your backseat driver mouth shut," he chuckled thinking he won — oh no he is so wrong...

"Please. You're the one that failed his actual exam 4 times! Then paid to pass it! So don't tell me that I can't drive Little Mr Rich,"

"I see your taking a page out of the little Mr books, i didn't expect you to have such a problem with reading, but then i get it. Your dyslexic! Being dumb is allowed," he gave me a sympathetic smug expression. I gladly gave him a glare back, cringing at his response. Then i realised...

"HEY!" laughter erupted from my left ear and i turned my head towards him, he was in hysterics taking his eyes off the road and all. "keep your eyes on the road, Oompa Loompa,".

"okay Veronica salts,".The car became silent as we turned into hannah's road and headed down the street, arriving at her house.

"Thanks for taking me," i undid my seatbelt and opened the car door, stepping out and i was interrupted.

"Is that Elliot Rosen-Black's car?" Grayson asked.

"yeah he's here. Hannah invited him. She said we look great together," The ending creaked with sarcasm.

"i'll join you," my eyes widened.

"what!" no he won't.

"We're good thanks." I shut the door making my way to the front door. I rang the doorbell and turned to see Graysons waiting for me to head in, he seems to be on the phone. Whatever.

Hannah opened the door.

"YOUR FINALLY HERE!" she hugged me. "We're making cookies come join us,".

The door closed behind us.

Grayson Crawford

I watched Blair walk up to the door making sure she got safely. He father told me to take care of her, and that is what i will do.

(A FEW HOURS EARLIER)

"Hey, Crawford come with me for a sec," Coach called and i followed him into the small front room.

"I hope this isn't to much to ask and I know you and Blair aren't very close, but while you stay with us and till she ends high school, do you mind keeping her safe. I know what you mean, yes i know she is a grown woman, but to me she's still my little girl. She went through a lot at a young age, which is not my story to tell and it has caused her to have trouble to make friends — who are good people. I just don't want her falling into the wrong crowd and as much as i love abby she is very easily influenced. Can you just watch Blair — not in a creepy way more like being my eyes for her when she's at school. If not i totally understand and agree with why you don't want to— not pressure."

"I know she and I aren't very close but she's funny and exciting so i don't mind at all being your eyes and ears," the heavily thanked me. I owed it to him and his entire family. Besides it's fun being around Blair ish...

(PRESENT)

As she rang the doorbell i revived a call from the boys Group chat.

"Hey boys. what's up?"I asked.

"Wanna come over. IM SO BORED AND IM GROUNDED!!!!!" Irritated Nick commented down the phone.

"Well i'm available, so i'm in," replied Daniel.

"I just had to drop Blair off at hannah's house so i'll be round soon,". i put the guys on speaker phone.

"Oh yeah, Hannah said she was having a small gathering with some people, who's there Gray?" nick asked.

"Rosen-Black...Well his car is here," i replied.

"The flashy one?" Daniel peeped and i agreed.

"Let's go to hannah's i'm sure she won't mind if Nick texts her. She likes you the most," Daniel says.

"Firstly i'm grounded so i can't go shit. And secondly, she has a crush on YOU dipshit so don't go telling me i'm her favourite," my eyes widen.

Daniel hung up...

"I've had enough Blair today i'm coming over now,". I hung up and called Daniel privately.

"Hey dude, you ok?"

"Yeah fine. it's just a shock. You know how long i liked her then i had to get over her cause she got this other dude and it broke me. Now all of a sudden she like me? It's just brings up all the shit i tried so hard, for so long to loose,". I stayed silent . I wish i could understand his pain, but i've never experienced that kind of felling before so i don't think i'm going to be much help.

"Hey dude, maybe this is the universe telling you something, she is only a girl and do you wanna go through it again. if so i support you but i'd tread carefully..." He didn't say anything... "I'll see you at nicks in 10?"

"Yeah" he said and hung up the phone... He gets touchy on the is subject of Hannah after like her for so long and her breaking his heart.

Thank God I don't like any one.
