Venus wished the ground would just swallow her and River up to get out of this situation. They were so going to be grounded when their parents found out they just did magic in front of people. Bella was immediately out in an ambulance on the insistence of the three supernatural beings. Edward said that she hit her head, so Venus was going to use that to her advantage.
"Call Dad." Venus told River.
"Well Love, you are a triple threat. Beauty, brains and brawn." Edward teased.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." She tried to play dumb.
"Playing dumb doesn't suit you." He responded.
"Dad wants us home, Venus." River cut in.
"Don't worry I'll keep Bella off our trail." Edward announced.
"We have nothing to hide." River told him.
"Are you sure about that?" Edward pushed.
"I wouldn't go pointing fingers bloodsucker." River snapped.
"That's enough! Let's go, River." Venus stepped in.
Venus took the car keys from River since she didn't trust him to be calm enough to drive safely. Not that Venus was any better. Peeling out of the parking lot Venus floored it all the way home just wanting to be away from the scene.
"How pissed was he?" Venus asked.
"Couldn't tell. But they can't be too mad. We saved Bella's life and our own. We could have been hurt if we didn't stop Tyler's van." River rambled.
"I hope you're right." Venus sighed.

Thena and Enzo honestly wanted to be mad at their children for doing magic in front of a mortal, but they both knew that they would have done the same. Even after everything this family has been through they haven't lost compassion and empathy for people. They were willing to help someone out when they needed it. But of course Venus and River still needed to be cautious about when they use their magic.
Even though Thena and Enzo weren't mad they wanted to take precautions, so they let the kids stay home from school on Friday. That didn't let them off the hook though. They were forced to restock potions and potion ingredients all day. Neither Venus nor River said anything about Edward inviting the family over for dinner though.
