As Mario and his companions approached the fortress, they couldhear the sounds of battle already raging inside. Mario's heart washeavy with worry for his twin brother, but he knew he had to stayfocused if he wanted to rescue him.

As they made their way through the fortress, they encounteredseveral obstacles and enemies, but with Mario's leadership and hisfriends' skills, they were able to overcome them all.

Finally, they reached the inner sanctum, where they found thevillain waiting for them.

"Well, well, well," the villain sneered. "Look whodecided to show up. I was wondering when you would come, Mario. Youmust be feeling quite anxious about your dear brother, Luigi."

Mario gritted his teeth, his fists clenching. "What have youdone to him?" he demanded.

The villain cackled as Mario struggled to get back on his feet."You may have defeated my minions, plumber, but you will neverget past me. You see, your precious brother is not here, and he's notcoming back."

Mario's eyes widened in shock and anger. "What do you mean?Where is he? What have you done to him?"

The villain just smirked. "Oh, he's safe... for now. Ourleader has him in a special place, where we can keep an eye on him.As for you, well, I think it's time to say goodbye."

He raised his weapon, a twisted grin on his face. Mario bracedhimself, ready for the fight of his life.

The battle was intense, with both combatants exchanging blows andinsults. The villain taunted Mario about his brother's fate, sayingthat he was at the mercy of their leader, and that there was nothingMario could do to save him.

But Mario refused to give up. He fought with all his might, fueledby a fierce determination to save his twin brother. He could feelLuigi's energy within him, giving him the strength to carry on.

Finally, with a mighty blow, Mario defeated the villain. But as hestood victorious, he felt a wave of exhaustion wash over him. He hadpushed himself too far, using up too much of his brother's energy inthe heat of battle.

He stumbled, his vision blurring as he tried to stay upright."Luigi..." he murmured, before collapsing to the ground ina heap.

"Mario, you need to stop," Goombella pleaded. "You'regoing to overexert yourself!"

But Mario didn't listen. He was consumed by his desire to save hisbrother and defeat this villain once and for all.

Finally, with one last burst of energy, Mario unleashed a powerfulattack that defeated the villain. But as the battle ended, Mario'svision began to blur and he stumbled, his body giving out from thestrain.

"Mario!" his friends cried out, rushing to his side.

Mario could feel his brother's energy coursing through him, but itwas too much for him to handle. He collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

As his friends looked on in concern, they knew that their journeywas far from over. They had rescued Luigi, but the real battle wasjust beginning.
