As the leader watched his assistants prepare Luigi for the nextstage of the experiment, he couldn't help but feel a sense ofexcitement. The chaos heart was a powerful and unpredictable force,but he believed that with the right subject, he could harness itspower and use it to reshape the universe to his will.
The leader's minions listened intently as he spoke, their eyesfixed on him with a mix of fear and awe. "Gather as many chaoshearts as you can," he said. "We need their power to awakenthe full potential of the chaos heart that we have already obtained.With it, we will become unstoppable."
Luigi, meanwhile, was trapped in his own nightmare. With a burst of willpower, Luigi began to push back against thenightmare. He focused on the image of his brother, using it as asource of strength to break free from the chaos heart's hold. Slowlybut surely, his body began to calm, and his breathing returned tonormal.
In the lab, the assistant let out a sigh of relief as he saw thereadings on the instruments stabilizing. The leader, however, was notdeterred. He knew that they had to push Luigi to his limits if theywere to unlock the full potential of the chaos heart.
"We're not finished yet," he said to the assistant."Prepare him for the next stage of the experiment.

Mario slowly opened his eyes, groaning as he sat up in bed. Helooked around, trying to remember where he was. The last thing heremembered was battling his way through the fortress, but everythingafter that was a blur.
He looked down and saw that he was still wearing his adventurer'soutfit, but it was torn and dirty. His hat was missing, and his facewas covered in scratches and bruises.
Suddenly, the door to his room burst open, and in walked PrincessPeach. "Mario!" she cried, rushing to his side. "Thankgoodness you're awake!"
Mario blinked, still trying to process what was happening."Princess Peach?" he said groggily. "What are youdoing here?"
Peach smiled warmly. "I heard about what happened at thefortress," she said. "I came to see if you were all right."
Mario nodded, suddenly remembering everything that had happened."Luigi," he said, his voice shaking. "Have you seenLuigi?"
Peach's smile faded. "I'm sorry, Mario," she saidgently. "I haven't seen Luigi."
Mario's heart sank. He had hoped that maybe Luigi had found hisway to safety, but it seemed that he was still missing. He stood up,wincing at the pain in his body.
"We have to keep looking for him," he said determinedly."We can't give up."
Peach nodded in agreement. "I'll do whatever I can to help,"she said.
Mario smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Princess," he said."We'll find Luigi, no matter what."
