A short story I decided to put together really fast:
Arabella and her deathArabella sat on the edge of her bed crying quietly to herself. The people at school had traded her even worse today than they had all year. And today of all days had to be the day after her mother died. Her dad still forced her to go to school. It's not like her cared for her mother in the first place. In fact, Arabella thinks her dad was the one who murdered her mom. They still haven't found the murderer yet though and she can't prove it.
She got off her bed to go to the bathroom. Hoping her dad wasn't around to hear her, she climb in the bathtub and turned on the water. The events of today replayed in her mind.
8:00am (School starts)
"Look over there. She's that freak, isn't she?" one guy said from across the hall."Yeah. I think she is. Didn't her mom just die?" a girl said next to him.
"I don't know and why should we care? She's just some slutty girl who has gone home with almost every guy at school. She doesn't deserve to live."
The girl laughs. "Very true, Dakota. Maybe we should kill her if she's a threat to your virginity?"
The boy scowls. "No. We'll let her do that." He looked right at Arabella and flashed his middle finger.
12:05pm. (Lunch)
Sam, Arabella's friend, looked right at Arabella. "Don't you think you should check out? They've don't enough to you today. They're gonna kill you. I know they'd go that far.""Sammy, I can't. And you know it. I won't give them the satisfaction."
"Hey, Sam!" Dakota calls over. "Come over here. You don't want to catch that disease. You know, the unspeakable one she's got." He shuddered for the extra effect.
"I think I'm good right where I am. Wouldn't want to catch that cockiness from your fat butt. Not to mention how you're beating up on a girl who's freaking mother just died. How heartless could one person be?" Sam replied.
For once, Dakota was speechless. Arabella's Sammy had put his cruel words towards her to a rest for lunch.
"Thank you, Sammy." And with that, she gave him a slight peck on the cheek. Sam blushed a violent shade of red.
3:30pm. (School's out)
"Hey, Airhead!" That was Dakot'a nickname for Arabella since the beginning of her name started with the sound of air. It was extremely creative to himself only. She didn't spare him a glance so her ran up in front of her and slapped her across the face. It was after school so she couldn't do anything but let it happen. Look at me when I call you, b****!"
Arabella began to walk off. Dakota took this as disrespect kicked her in the back of her knees causing her to collapse and kicked her in the face repeatedly, breaking her nose.
She let some tears escape and ran home past her dad who didn't seem bothered by the fact her nose was gushing blood.
4:53pm (present time)
The bathtub was almost full. Arabella stuck her head under the water and stayed there. Her lungs caught fire after a few seconds. Everything began to go blurry in her sight. She had battled life and in the end had lost, royally. This was it. This was the end. The end to all the pain and suffering. The end to the horrible life she led. The end to it all. The last few bits of life escaped her and the last thing she saw though her blurry eyes was Sam who had just rushed into the doors screaming things she couldn't make out through the water. He ran up to pull her out but by then it was too late. She was dead and there was nothing anyone could do to reverse it. At least she's at peace, Sammy thought.
