Draco and Harry refused to speak to eachother after the kissing incident and even tried too at one point avoid eachother where one immediately walked in the other direction if they were in the same room as the other that Severus stepped in and forced the two boys to sit next to eachother but they immediately tried to get away from eachother however James kept them both next to eachother.
"Stay" Harry grumbled while Draco huffed crossing his arms out of annoyance, the boys still refused to admit they were Soulmates and Harry's parents were starting to catch onto the weird behavior between them. Class went as normal before the boys were the only ones left and they immediately tried to run out and away from eachother but James' wing blocked their path "Boys" They froze and turned to look at Severus who was looking at them then James who's wing was still blocking the door to their exit "Up front, now" the boys didn't move but inched their ways away from eachother "Now" Severus called with a demand and the boys reluctantly groaned and went up from James following behind with his wings tucked to his back behind him. "Want to explain the weird behavior between you both?" Severus asked "No" they said then glared at eachother before looking away.
Severus sighed before James went over to him and whispered something into his ear, mentioning his conversation with Madam Pomfery the other day involving the boys. Severus looked at Harry and Draco who almost refused to look at the other either by force or because they were rivals he didn't know and wasn't completely sure "Alright, I have a question for you both and I want a truthful answer" James said looking at the boys with Severus beside him "Do you see a Red string attached to the other beside you right now?" The boys flinched at the question and shifted uncomfortably "Seems Poppy was right" James muttered under his breath, who could have guessed that rivals being Soulmates was a common thing now he shrugged that off wanting to get down to why the boys were acting weird.
James nudged Severus with his elbow to ask the question to get their answer "What is going on between you two?" He asked "Nothing, absolutely nothing" Harry said immediately Severus looked at James "He got your crappy way of lying" James gave a look of mock offense "When I lie it is not crappy!" He whined and Harry was cursing at himself again under his breath, maybe he really was bad a lying but too stubborn to admit it. "It is do not deny it, now enlighten me on what is going on" he looked from James back to he boys, Harry kept his mouth shut and Draco looked in the opposite direction of the Potter family.
Severus sighed in mild annoyance as James took to leaning against the bookcase with his arms crossed and wings still folded, he walked over to one of the shelves and grabbed a Potion since they were in his classroom before walking back to the boys who eyed it "Either one of you tell me what is going on or I will result to to Veritaserum. Pick one" He said sternly "Nope!" Harry bolted for the door but in a quick movement Harry was struggling in James arms and thrown over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes "Put me down!!" He squeaked out of embarrassment on being carried like this "Nah" James smirked as Severus looked at him unamused "Looks kike Harry has chosen to be given Veritaserum for the truth" He said "No, absolutely not! No way I'm not drinking anything!" Harry shouted "until this issue is resolved that's not a choice bud" Draco cursed under his breath since why the tension between him and Harry for the past few days was about to be revealed by the stupid Potion.
"I'm not drinking it!" Harry covered his mouth to prevent the Potion from going down his throat "Force or willingly?" Severus asked popping the cork out of its place of the bottle "Neither!" Harry yelled muffled through his hands "He's a mix it's unbelievable" James laughed "Is not" Severus said Potion still in hand "removed your hands and open you're mouth" Harry shook his head hands still clasped over his mouth, Draco groaned loudly getting the family's attention as his head was thrown back letting out an annoyed sigh "Fine, we'll tell you just don't use the damn Potion" Harry rolled his eyes releasing one of his hands and speaking through his fingers "There is no point in even telling, there's no point in even saying anything on this" He said "Oh really? Avoiding and walking away as soon as you spot the other for five days in a row non stop every day?" Severus tilted his head a little as if asking for a argument.
The boys had no argument and James was snickering behind his wing "Knock it off Potter before I punch you" His wing lifted "Try me Snape-Potter~" Severus groaned ignoring James now and focusing on the boys waiting for the explanation "There is no way out of this is there?" he shook his head "No. Now explain" he closed the Potion with the cork but kept it in hand Incase needed, the boys groaned since they did not want to do this and rather to take it to their separate graves.
"Start from the beginning" Draco went on to explain while Harry banged his head against a bookcase but James stopped him with his hand "Stop or you'll bust you're head" Harry just grumbled since he was embarrassed by the entire thing "You gave him heat pills?" Severus raised a brow "Pretty much but he wouldn't take them willingly" Draco glared at him "Well I'm sorry I'm not trying to get drugged by pills again" James looked at him "What do you mean by that?" Harry suddenly didn't know what to say "Nothing" James didn't look to believe him but decided not to press it until he had more information.
"So your Soulmates but you aren't admitting it and are in denial?" Harry shrugged "Pretty much and I'm positive I'm hallucinating" he said "Oh really?" Draco glared at him staring down at Harry who glared straight back "Of course, is this a thing now? Rivals being Soulmates. Dear Merlin's I might loose my mind" Severus face palmed "It's not that bad" James wrapped an arm around his shoulders "I got used to you and that is saying something" he said "stop glaring and go eat" Harry flipped Draco off before stomping out who followed not far to cause an argument about flipping him off.
"How long do you think those heat pills will last?" James asked with his chin resting on Severus's head "if this started five days ago those pills will stop working tomorrow if they haven't taken anymore if they are avoiding eachother" he explained to James looking in the direction the boys left with the fading and fading argument between the boys.
