My Fearless Katherine

Chapter 4

-Katherine-

I was fuming by the time I was done 'talking' to this stupid alpha. After thinking to myself about my pathetic mate, I turned to leave, only to be held back. The shocks raced through my arm. Quickly I withdrew my arm from his grip and stared at him. "If you have something to say, you better start talking!" I snapped harshly. He backed away and stared at me like I was crazy. Then in a soft voice he asked "Could you please rethink this? Give me one month? Then chose to reject me or not." I looked into his eyes and instantly regretted it, I saw pain, fear and a deep sadness in his eyes that broke my heart. Reluctantly I sighed "Fine, but you only have a month." the earlier emotions were gone as soon as those words left my mouth and were replaced with hope. I nonchalantly moved my hair out of my face and left the room, but not before heading Asher say "Thank you Katherine. You won't be disappointed." I thought to myself for a bit before whispering "I hope not." as I closed the door.

I did it! I actually talked to Katherine! In my moment of happiness my wolf surfaced. ~Well now you have to impress her.~ my wolf Connor snickered at the idea. ~"I have the perfect plan, guaranteed to win her over."~ After saying that I blocked him out so I didn't have to listen to him.

(Five hours later)

I sat in my P.E. class thinking about Katherine, her deep green eyes, auburn hair, and the redness that covers her cheeks when she laughs. I couldn't be happier that she was my mate. Even if she didn't want me. I couldn't stop thinking about her. I loved this girl, and I barely know her.

I was sitting in class trying not to think of those beautiful blue eyes filled with sadness that I caused. I know it's not right to reject your mate, but I was thinking of the well being of my pack. I can't leave my pack under the rule of my beta for my mate. He is soon to be the leader of my pack's enemy anyways. I would be betraying my pack. I'll get through this month, then reject him, a deal is a deal.
