Sleep was a luxury over a busy award show event and one I'd ignored by staying up well into the early hours, googling BTS. It wasn't wasted though, it turns out they were huge and I had no idea. After I'd left them yesterday, my day just kept getting busier, acts grumpier as there were longer and longer delays before they could practice. So by the time I rolled into my apartment at 1230am, knowing my alarm was set for 615am, I needed to just close my eyes and nod off. But I was wired and strangely, watching BTS was calming. And funny. And oh so delightful on the eyes.

I strode into work the next day, nursing tired eyes that I wished didn't look so dark. I'd dressed a little more thoughtfully, knowing I'd see them all, my Awards formal wear tucked on a hanger for later once the dress rehearsals were all out the way. Hugging a coffee, I realised how tired I was from only a few hours sleep, hoping that the dark liquid would work it's magic, keeping me moving.

I kept an eye on the time, counting down to 11am when they were booked for their dress rehearsal. Half an hour before they were due, I headed over to make sure they were ready to walk onto the stage on time. Knocking on the door, steadying my nerves and smoothing down my clothes and hair, the door was opened to chaos.

People rushed in all directions carrying clothes, makeup being applied to faces, voices layered over top of each other. One of the members was shirtless and I averted my eyes, trying to remember what his name. It was the tall one, was it Jin, I asked myself? I hadn't allowed my eyes to linger on his body for too long to confirm for sure, as much as I'd have liked to. A frazzled looking manager came over. "Will you be ready in ten minutes," I asked and he nodded. I doubted it from what was happening around me but took his words as truth. "I'll wait outside then," and he nodded again, closing the door, shutting away most of the noise. I laughed to myself. That amount of chaos and craziness would definitely take some getting used to but it seemed they all had roles and maybe, based on their level of professionalism yesterday, they would be running on time.

But ten minutes later when I knocked again, chaos had been restored, all the members dressed, some just getting the final touch to their lips. Their performance outfits were amazing and I had to force myself not to stare. "Looks like we're ready to go," I said and lots of nodding heads responded as members and staff assembled to follow me.

"Kaja then," I said and headed to follow the path we'd walked yesterday, smiling to myself as we did. That had opened my eyes to their charms and I had been captivated by them since then.

Behind me there was a little pushing and shoving which I put down to nerves but when I turned back, it was to see Jungkook and Jimin had made their way to the front of the group, grinning as we made eye contact. Jungkook pursed his lips together a little and raised one eyebrow at me before schooling his expression as we neared another group of people. Interesting, I thought. When he's dressed in his stage costume, he's a lot more confident. And I liked it. I kept my face neutral until facing the front again, where the smile appeared on my face. It was impossible to keep inside, they all just brought it out of me.

The staff was buzzing around when we arrived at the side of stage, fixing clothes so they sat right, making perfect what was already perfection. It was easy to see all of them were nervous. They had very high standards and I knew that even if they were worried now, the performance tonight was going to be amazing. I loved that part of a day like today. Even though I had been busy buzzing around frantically, once the evening was underway I would be assigned one artist and my job would be to make sure they were comfortable the entire evening, finally slowing down and I'd be able to watch them from the side of stage. It hadn't taken any convincing to make sure BTS was my artist, perks of having been in this role for so many years and something I was very much looking forward to.
