Chapter 7
"Damn it, I forgot. I need to get you to sign something." We'd separated a little, hand coming up to wipe away the wetness on my lips where they tingled under my touch. Well, this was a buzz kill.
"You mean an NDA?"
"Oh, you know about them?" He seemed surprised, obviously forgetting what company I worked for.
"It will be the first one I've had to sign but I know what it's for and I understand. I'm not in the habit of sharing any details about my relationships no matter how cute and sexy they might be. But of course, I'll sign."
He seemed relieved, going to a folder tucked away on the desk and pulling out some papers.
"Do you all travel with those," I asked, not judging, just curious.
He shrugged his shoulders. "They come as part of our itinerary anytime we travel, especially now we're older and have our own rooms. It wasn't as big a deal when we shared rooms, no chance for romance then."
"Romance. Cute," I thought, reaching for the pen on the desk. "Show me where to sign then," I said, briefly scanning the document. All of it looked standard, I had read through them before when I started working at the company but I'd never been in the position to add my name to one. Not that I was complaining, I just wanted to carry on with my evening. Scrawling my signature and placing the pen back down, I turned to face him.
Jungkook was next to me, leaning back against the desk with his arms crossed, chewing his lip. He seemed less confident now we'd stalled, a little on edge as he looked at me.
"That might have killed the mood a little," I said with a smirk.
"Yeah, sorry, I wasn't thinking earlier. I mean I hoped we would need one but it wasn't in the front of my mind."
"You were thinking about other things," I said quietly, stepping a little closer and his arms uncrossed, his hand reaching for mine to pull me between his legs.
"Yes I was Marley," he said, eyes flitting from mine, down to my feet and back up my body again. I felt like he was undressing me as he lingered on certain parts of my body and as his eyes drifted up, I flushed to see his eyes dripping with attraction.
Taking my hand, he brought my arm to his nose, running it along the length before it settled on my wrist, taking a deep breath. "I love your scent. Can't get enough of it," he said, following his words by placing a few kisses there, gentle, sweet, causing a heady reaction in my body. He was pressing all the right buttons, very, very good at this and I felt myself gravitate to him, incapable of stopping the momentum that had our chests touching again. "I'd say where were we but we both know where we were." His voice was deep and slow, drawing the sound out between his soft, parted lips.
"Yes," I said quietly, leaning in again, the waiting for his mouth on mine taking too long. He tucked the hair behind my ears, twisting it briefly in his fingers before letting it fall when his hands found my face again. As his lips grazed over mine, I slid my arms around his back and my top began to slide off my shoulder, the wide neck falling to reveal my skin. Reaching to catch it before it slipped further down my arm, Jungkook's hand came up to catch it instead. "It doesn't matter does it," he asked resting on my shoulder, his hand warming the skin that was now bare. "It's not staying on."
His words went straight to my stomach, enjoying this side of Kook, different from the seeming shy man I'd met just a few days ago and who made an appearance when his insecurities flared up.
"Oh, is it not?" I asked, teasing a little.
"My plan is to remove it, very, very soon," he replied. Turning my back so it rested against his chest, I started to slowly unbutton the top two buttons, making the neckline wider and fall even more.
