Chapter 6

"Do you do this often," I asked as he opened the door to his hotel room after what had been a strange game of cat and mouse with entering the hotel separately and taking different lifts so as not to be seen together. He kicked his shoes off at the door and I followed suit, slipping mine off and tucking them against the wall inside the hotel room door. I'd sobered up a little on the drive back to his hotel and now I was feeling a little awkward. Random hook ups really weren't my thing but tonight, well, we'd see because this didn't feel random.

"Do what," he asked, reaching for my hand and guiding me into the suite.

"Bring people back to your room."

"The other four members went back to the hotel to go to bed. Alone you understand? It's never been a competition to see who can bring the most women back to our room."

"You didn't answer the question though Jungkook," I said, leaning back against the drinks area in the hotel lounge. "Do YOU do this often?"

"No, I don't. Honestly," he continued when I looked surprised. Because I knew he could if he wanted to, people would be lining up.

"Well then, I'm honoured," I answered with a small curtsy and he laughed, instantly drawing a grin on my lips. There was something really cute about him that was endearing and pulled you in.

"Drink?"

"What have you got," I asked as I walked over and sat on the couch in the living area. A few doors lead off and I wondered if they were bedrooms, definitely curious to see inside.

He crouched over to open the small fridge that was in the room. "Ah, some wine, soda, water. I can order in anything you want though?"

He didn't mean it as a flex but I was sure he could, staff no doubt available 24/7 if the hotel didn't have what he needed.

"If you're opening the wine, I'll have one too."

"Sure," he answered, grabbing out wine glasses, fluid in the way he moved around the room. There was a comfortable silence as he poured the drinks, bringing them over to us, handing one to me and sinking down next to me, stretching out his legs. He smelled his drink as he went to put it to his mouth and I watched, taking in everything about the way his nose wrinkled in a cute way to the look in his eyes when he saw me watching.

"I don't know if you noticed but I have a thing about scents," he said, slinging his arm around the back of the sofa. I liked that we were sitting and relaxing, not just jumping straight into bed, if that was where we were heading. And I really, really hoped it was.

"I'd noticed," I replied, taking a sip before putting it down and turning so I was angled a little more towards him. "It's the first thing you said about me."

"Ah yes, that," he said with a small, slightly embarrassed look. "Well, I was right, you do smell amazing." His eyes held mine, even though his cheeks were a little pink and mine faltered a little, surprising myself as I was usually a fairly direct person. I blinked as I tried to hold his gaze and ended up reaching for my glass again to fortify myself. If he was going to keep looking at me like that tonight, I needed to relax a little more and the drinks from earlier at the bar were wearing off.

"You're a flirt," I finally replied, holding my glass to have something to do with my hands.

"Not really," he chuckled. "I'm the one of the group that's the shyest when it comes to women. That's why they teased me so much around you. They could tell I...," and he stopped talking.

"They could tell you...," I prompted, definitely wanting him to finish his sentence.

"Hmmm, they could tell I kind of liked you." He was quiet as he answered, fingers moving against the glass he held, in a rhythm that played out whatever was going on in his head.
