Chapter 1: Confusion

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
I slowly opened my eyes, and I was lying down on a hospital bed. I heard chattering, and then it went quiet. “Issac! He’s awake, guys!” I heard a familiar voice say, but it was muffled. Within a few seconds, I saw a lot of blurry faces around me. “Issac? Can you hear us?" I heard a muffled voice say. In a couple of minutes, the faces and voices became clearer. I saw Ash, Nikki, Edward, Aiden, Dad, and even my mom above me. “Huh?” I mumbled “Oh Issac” my mom said worriedly. “How long was I asleep?” I asked. “For about two days,” Mom said. I looked all around me and saw all of the faces of my worried friends and family. I put my arm over my eyes, and I started to tear up. “Issac,” Ash said. “I’m sorry guys… I let you all down… I lost” I said. “It’s all my fault” “No it’s not! You saved me from kidnapping!” Ash said. “Yeah but I should have saved you before you got kidnapped!” I said. “I shouldn’t have got you all in this mess, and I shouldn’t have been curious in the first place… Two years ago, when I listened in on the teachers… If I wouldn’t have done that, none of this would’ve happened I-” “ISSAC! STOP BLAMING YOURSELF FOR EVERYTHING!!” Nikki yelled. I took my arm off of my eyes and looked at her. “Nikki…” I said. She stood there for a minute and covered her mouth. “I’m sorry,” She said. “No, you’re right… I should be the one apologizing” I said. Edward walked up to me. “It’s ok Issac… I understand how you feel… But we need to stand up and not give up, ' he said. “You’re right,” I said. I sat up, and I looked at Ash. “Hey… Where’s Ace?” I asked her. “Oh he’s in another room” She said. I slowly stood up. “Issac you can’t stand! You’ll bleed again!” Aiden said. “Oh shush… I need to see him” I said. “Ash, please show me where he is” “Alright,” She said. She walked me down to Ace’s room. I walked in, and Ace looked at me. I walked to his bedside and sat down, and Ash sat next to me. “Hey Ace… Do you remember me?” I asked. “Yes… You’re Issac Rashmen, right?” Ace asked. “Yeah that’s me… I want to ask you some questions” I said. “Alright” Ace said. “Ok” I said. “What do you know about this purple eyed madness?” “I don’t really know much about this whole situation, but I-I think they want to kill us… to get rid of the purple eyes” Ash and I looked at Ace in disbelief. It went silent for a minute, and then Ash spoke: “Is there any way to change our eye color? And I don’t just mean eye contacts” She said, looking down. I looked at her in shock. “Ash! You can’t just change your eye color! They already know that you have purple eyes!” I said. “True” Ace said. “But there might be a spell… It changes your eye color and I think it confuses your enemy to think that you are a totally different person… But that might just be my imagination ''''Ok” Ash said. “Then we’ll just look… If it doesn’t exist, then we’ll move on and defeat these robots… We’re going to defeat them anyway and there is a spell room in the basement of the abandoned hot dog shop and the robots won’t be there tomorrow''''Alright” I said. “But how do you know they aren’t going to be there tomorrow?!” “When you’re tied up for three days… you tend to get bored, and you listen in on their conversations” Ash said. “Oh” I said. I stood up just as Nikki and Edward came into the room. I looked at all of them. “Ok… Tomorrow, I want you all to go to the hot dog shop, and I’ll be there”
I said as I walked out of the room.
