Chapter 2: Switched?!

I went home that day, and I rested. I soon came to find out that my mom also knew that I was a hero of some sort. But, as I said, it was soon the next day and I walked to the hot dog shop. I finally got there, and I went to the back where everyone was. “There he is,” Edward said. I smiled. “Alright Ash and Ace… Let’s see if this thing exists” I said as we walked into the place. It seemed like we were walking forever in a dark space until we finally got there. “Finally!” Nikki said. Just then, Jack popped out of Ash’s jacket. “AH! What the hell!” I said. Jack looked at me. “Watch your mouth child” He said. “Ash…” I said. “Yeah?” She said, “What is he doing here?” I asked in a low voice. “Well… Jack wanted to help us, so I brought him here… He’s also my cat now so…” She said, “Exactly,” Jack said. “She is my master so I have to listen to her, and you should be grateful that I'm helping you” “Tch” I said. “We’re wasting time… Let’s go” Jack said. We walked in, and there were a million potions like there was before. There was also a spell book… Which was odd. We all searched around when Nikki went by the spell book. She was flipping through it when: “Ooooo! What’s this one? It says to read out loud” Nikki said. “No!!! Don’t!” Jack said. “Switched back and forth between friends and fools' ' She said out loud. Then, a bright light shone and knocked all of us out. I woke up a few moments later, and I felt strange. I rubbed my head, and my hair was ridiculously long! And black! “Huh?” I said, but my voice didn’t sound like mine… It sounded like Ash’s! I looked around, and I was still lying on the ground! I was looking at myself!!! I stood up and I was so short!!! I ran over to what seemed to be me, and I shook them until they woke up. They slowly opened their eyes to look at me and then they screamed. “Ahhhhhh!! Who are you!?” They said, “Calm down!” I said. “Tell me your name” “I’m Ash!” She said, I sat back. “Oh my gosh” I said. “What?!” Ash said “Who are you??” “I’m Issac” I said. “Huh!!!!???” She said, “This
could only mean one thing, Ash” I said. “What’s that?” “We switched places,” I said. “We better wake everyone else up” “Yeah” Ash said. We woke up everyone else, and they all looked at each other and screamed. “Huh!?!” Edward screamed. “NO!” Nikki yelled. “Uh oh” Jack said. “Would everyone be quiet for a second!!!” Ace yelled. It went silent. “This means that we switched places,” Ace said. “What?!” Edward said. “Yes… Issac and Ash, Edward and Nikki, and Ace and I” Jack said. “Shoot!” I said. “What do we do?!” We all stood up. “Wow!!!!” Ash said. “I'm so tall!” I looked up at her. She looked down at me. “Ahahahahahahaha” She laughed. “It’s not funny, Ash!!!!!!” I said. “It is too!!” She said, “How tall are you? 5’9! And I’m 5’1!” I looked at her in shock. “You’re 5’1?!! DAMMIT!!” “Damn… I’m a cat, and you guys are talking about height.” Ace said. We all looked at him and laughed a little. “Oh wow! Now that you mention it! I am human!” Jack said. “Guuuyysss!! I’m a boy! I’m not beautiful anymoreeee” Nikki whined. Edward looked at her. “What are you talking about?!! I look great!” He said. “Why do I feel so weird!” “Because you’re me! A girl” Nikki said. “Wait…” I said. Everyone looked at me. “This means… We are all weaker!! We don’t know how to use each other's powers!!” “Ah crap” Ash said. “Ok, ok” Jack said. “Let’s not get worked up about this… We need to find the spell to undo this” He walked over to the spell book and started to flip through it when he stopped. “What is it?” I asked. “I found the spell where you can change your eye color,” Jack said. “Really?!” Ash said as she was reading it. Then it went quiet. “What’s wrong, Issac, er, I mean Ash?” Nikki said. “It says that it makes everyone forget who you are if you change your eye color with this spell,” She said. We all looked at her in shock. “Do you really want to change your eye color now?” Jack said. Ash shook her head. “Let’s just look for the spell to change us all back” She said. “I don’t think there is one,” Jack said. “Wait” Ace said. “What is it?” Edward asked. “Let me up there,” Ace asked. Edward picked him up and put him by the spell book. “I think you have to read it backwards” “Really?” Nikki said. “Yeah…” Ace said. “Let me try it” He took a deep breath and read it backward. “Fools and friends between forth and back switched” He said, and then the light came again. Again, I woke up a couple of moments later, and I was me again! “Yes!” I said. Then, everyone else started to wake up. “Yes!!! I’m a girl again!” Nikki said, hugging herself. “Dammit, I'm short again… Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!” Ash said. “Alright, alright” Jack said. We were talking for a bit when we heard some voices. “Is anyone there?” I heard faintly. “Guys shush for a minute” I said. It went silent. “Hello?” The voice said. “Do you hear that?” I asked. “Yeah” Ash said as she stood up. “It sounds like it’s coming from the room I was kidnapped in” We all stood up, and we followed Ash to the room she was kidnapped in. She opened the door and looked around. “Who is it?” Ash said. “You see the big box that's covered? Remove the cloth” the voice said. We all walked towards the cloth, and Ash uncovered it. All of our eyes went wide. There was a little girl that was chained up like Ash was, and she was about 12
years old. She also had purple eyes.
