𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒎 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓. I know this because he makes his way to a desk longer than the students', where he sets down his leather briefcase with a deafening thud. With his arms crossed, revealing himself to be muscular beneath his white shirt, the man faces the class leaning against the front of his desk.

Judging by his appearance, he can't be more than thirty years old, tall, brunette, blue-eyed, and quite charming, in a Clark Kent type style.

Only another man could make me take my eyes off the back of Luke's head. That little sideways smile he gave before he turned to face forward bothered me.

"For those who didn't hear me, good morning everyone." The teacher's voice is deeper than I thought it would be, but his smile is as beautiful as I imagined. "I see some familiar faces and some not so familiar faces, but don't worry we have a whole semester to get to know each other better."

What I would give to get to know you better, Professor...

"Hey." Michael puts his arm on the back of my chair and looks at me sideways. "Yesterday you were upset by what I said to you, about you being different from the other girls."

I sigh and reach in my purse for the pen I always carry with me.

"Do you have a sheet of paper? I didn't bring anything to write on." I ask the blond who twists his mouth, but opens his notebook and pulls out a sheet of paper which he hands me. "Thank you and no, I wasn't upset." I whisper. "Haven't you ever heard of the saying, 'never judge a book by its cover'? That's exactly what you were doing and I hate that people constantly doing it."

"I didn't mean to offend you, that's how I felt at the time." His fingers, from his arm again extended behind me, touch my left arm, caressing it lightly. "And I still feel it, there's nothing you can do about it. I may not know you, but if that's the problem you're creating in your head, we have the time and opportunity to fix it."

I deny my head at his determined expression and look at the teacher again.

What Michael doesn't know is that if I'm not willing for him to get to know certain parts of me, no matter how much he insists, he's only going to lose out. It will be a wasted effort. I can be quite cold and distance myself as easily as I approached him.

It takes mere seconds for everything to change.

Not to mention that I just want to have fun, and for that I don't need to know the person. At least not on such a deep level as knowing what his favorite food, hobbies, favorite book, dream trip, how many kids he wants, if he would like to have a dog and among other things.

I want to kiss, not write a bibliography of the person I hook up with.

Two knocks on the door awaken me from my thoughts, as well as draw the attention of the rest of us in the room. I hear a few people sighing with the two boys who are standing at the entrance to the room, slightly out of breath. They must have run to get there in time, though unsuccessfully.
