Chapter 20

On the previous chapter...

As I get into the last room, someone kicked me from behind and stabbed me in my arm.

I cursed underneath my breath. I lost my knife

With my other arm I swung at him, but he dudged it. In the meantime I grabbed a night stand and threw it at him.

I picked my knife up.

I stabbed him in the balls. He lets out an ugly scream.

Before he could even scream more and make me deaf I shot him in his head.

'Count 41'. I heard Madeline say through the device.

As I wanted to reply, a bomb went off.

Alessandro's POV

'Don are you okay'. I heard voices from the distance and felt somebody slapping me.

After a while my vision became clear again.

'Yes, is everyone okay?' I replied to Noah.

'Sir, one of the Russians placed a bomb. The soldiers outside are all dead. I asked for backup, they are on the way. Everyone's ear devices who were on the fourth floor doesn't work anymore, we don't have contact anymore with the rest. Dante, Mauricio and Carter are wounded'. Noah informed me

I cursed. 'Dante's squad knows what to do, we already went through it. Where are Mauricio and Carter, bring me to them. Did you saw Verasha and Madeline?' I asked and we walked towards side 1.

I saw Mauricio and Carter on the ground.

I looked around and saw an open room

'They didn't place a bomb, they opened one of the rooms with traps in it. This one had a bomb inside of it. Where are Madeline and Verasha?' I informed them

'Nobody knows where there are, the ear devices don't work anymore'. Mauricio replied with hurt.

'How had are the injuries?' I asked them

'Mauricio has been shot through the stomach, stabbed in the leg and doesn't hear anything from his left ear. Carter's leg is fucked up, big chance that it is broken. It was stuck between the door and he has been stabbed in his arm'. Noah informed

'Get Mauricio out of here. He is loosing a lot of blood. Carter stay on this floor. I will look for Madeline and Verasha'. I say

'I'm not going anywhere. We came here to end the Russians, I'm not going anywhere till they're dead'. Mauricio replies

And as he finished his sentence I saw them walking through the hallway.

'I found some ear pieces in a room, it's from the Russians but it's better then these not working ear pieces'. Madeline says and throws some ear pieces at us.

And then she sees Mauricio.

Without any doubt, she immediately bends down to him.
'Mauricio are you okay?' She asks and checks his injuries.
