Chapter 18

He clenched his jaw. 'Or I could kill you the same way you killed your own family'.

Lies.

I didn't kill my family and he knows that

'I didn't kill them'. I say and poke my finger on his chest. 'Your dad did'.

'Come on Madeline when are you going to stop this narrative in your head. Everybody knows that you killed them. You just don't have the balls to admit it'.

'Where you there that night? Exactly so don't talk like you were there'. I reply and walked towards the door

'Your whole life is a lie, Madeline'. Alessandro says before I slap the door shut.

Alessandro's POV

Everybody in the underground knows that she killed her parents. The stupid and innocent people believe it was homicide and suicide.

After she left Noah and I discussed some things about the mission.

Madeline told me a while ago that my father had killed my mother. I didn't believe her but I let Noah do his research and turns out she wasn't lying, for the first time.

It makes sense why my dad became so distant to me.

My father was always a bit distant to me, my whole life but especially after she died. I never really had a fatherly or motherly figure in my life except for Maria.

She was a maid in this house.

She always looked up to me especially after I returned from my missions. She would always clean up my wounds.

She always told me stories about her life. She told me how her dad came from Chili to the United States and that he lost his wife on the way. He was left alone with his two daughters, Maria and her older sister. They were quite poor. Her dad didn't really had a good job.

He worked hard for little money.

Maria's main goal was to study and to be a doctor, so she can help people.

The doctors didn't do anything to her dying mother, so from that day on, she decided that she wanted to be a doctor. She doesn't want other people to life the same pain she lived.

But her father had other plans. When her sister became 20 and Maria became 18, he accepted 10 million dollars for an arrange marriage for both of his daughters. Her sister had a fucked up man. He would constintely beat her up. One day it became so bad that she lost so much blood and died.

He didn't go to prison for it. His dad made up a story. He would always claim that he loved her and would never do such horrible things to her. The abusive fucker didn't get punished for it.

Well actually, he did a couple years ago.

I tortured him.

But apart from that, her sister never really had her justice.

I don't and won't ever understand why a men would ever hit a woman, it doesn't matter if it's your wife or not.
