lydia's head was rested on ethan's legs, everyone was watching the news. two of their classmates were murdered. "oh my god.." lydia whispered. jason carvey and greg, jason was in the groups film studies class. "holy shit, that's the chode from our film studies class!" mindy said, ethan started running his hands through lydia's hair. lydia covered her mouth. "also found at the scene was various ghostface costumes, a character popularized by the stab movie franchise."

everyone looked at each other. what the fuck?.. this can't be real. lydia sat up so she could be closer to ethan, as she didn't feel safe right now. "pack a bag, we leave in ten." sam pointed at tara and lydia and started walking to the other room, tara ran after her. lydia shook her head. ethan stared at her, he looked sad. "you- you aren't really leaving right?" ethan asked. the others were talking about everything. "no, ethan. i wouldn't just leave you like that." lydia caressed his face. she gave him a kiss on his cheek. he put his arms around her. "i don't wanna get hurt again, ethan." her voice was shaky. "listen." he held her chin and gently turned her head so he would look at her. "i would fucking die before i let anyone hurt you." lydia nodded and buried her face in his shoulder, as she usually does. "your dad is a cop right?" tara turned to quinn. quinn looked at them. "can you call him and ask him what the fuck is going on?" she asked, going back to the argument with her sister. chad was trying to get sam's boyfriend to go away, anika and mindy were just talking to each other. nobody wanted this to happen again, new york was supposed to be a fresh start for them.

the past never goes away though, lydia should've knew that by now as her mom was gale weathers and to this day, 25 years later, she's still trying to survive these murders.

by the looks of things, quinn was calling her dad.

now sam's phone started ringing, lydia jumped. jumpy. ethan thought, putting his arms around her to make sure she wasn't scared. everyone was freaking out. sam looked at lydia and declined the call. that was weird.. "why did everyone just freak out when her phone rang?" ethan was confused. anika stared at him blankly. "you gotta keep up, dude." ethan looked down, lydia kissed his forehead. "it's alright, you'll get there." lydia whispered. quinn stared at ethan and lydia. "sam?" quinn got her attention. "my dad wants to talk to you."

that was one hell of a night, sam and tara went down to the police station because they found sam's license next to the body. lydia went to her room, ethan followed her. "dia?" he said, staying at the door. "c-can.." he looked down. "can i stay here tonight?" he asked. she stared at him. "why?" lydia asked. "i already told you earlier, i don't want you to get hurt." he said. she rolled her eyes. "yeah, whatever." his eyes brightened. he grinned and closed the door, then lied down on lydia's bed. her mind was racing with thoughts, her biggest problem right now was ghostface. she stared at the brunette boy. "where are you gonna sleep?" lydia asked. "uh.. next to you?.." ethan said, looking at her. she looked away. "are you sure?.." ethan nodded. "i don't want you to be uncomfortable or anything." she stated. "i'm never uncomfortable with you." he whispered. lydia sighed. ethan looked into her eyes. "stop." she said. "what? i can't look at you?" he crossed his arms. "not like that." he started staring at her. "ethan!" she said. he chuckled, still looking at her. now they were looking into each others eyes, she looked at his lips and he smirked, then planted a gentle kiss on her lips. he covered his mouth. "i'm so sorry!" he started freaking out. she giggled and got closer to him, kissing him. he put his arms around her waist. chad opened the door. "holy shit, landry!" he exclaimed. they both turned and looked at chad. "i was just gonna say we gotta go but uh.." lydia crossed her arms. "i'm staying here tonight." ethan stated. "yeah, got that. have fun guys." chad winked. "get out!" lydia yelled and closed her door, throwing herself back on her bed.

ethan looked at her with a sad expression, like he always does when he wants something. "what, ethan?" he sighed and started kissing her again. she giggled. "stop, someone else is gonna come in." she stopped him. "but lydia-" he whined. she shook her head and sat up. "we should just go to sleep!" she said. "you have that econ test tomorrow, right?" she smiled, getting up to turn off the light but he pulled her back down. "lydia.." he stared into her eyes, holding her hand. his heart was racing. "i just wanted to know if.." she was freaking out inside, she knew what he was gonna ask. "spit it out." she said, trying to hide the excitement in her voice. "if you wanted to be my girlfriend." she had a huge smile on her face. "i really thought you would never ask." she said. he stared at her, waiting for her answer. "of course i do." she kissed him. "but i'm serious, you need sleep. econ test tomorrow, that shits important." she said, turning off the light. "not more important than you.." he mumbled. she laid in bed next to ethan. he put his arms around her. "goodnight dia." he whispered.
