Chapter 1

"Hey Johann..." You asked sweetly.

He sighed, putting down a box he was carrying.

"Spit it out. What mess have you made this time? Did you destroy another crop shipment?"

You chuckled akwardly.

"What! No ,I didn't- okay maybe some cabbages, but that's not what I'm getting at. We're getting low on provisions, so I thought, why not stop by an island to look for some. I could use some time to rest my sea legs too."

"Ah, very well then. Check the map for me. Which island is closest?"

You went over to the large world map, and placed your finger on the nearest one.

"Seems to be... Forgetful Valley. You know this place?"

He looked whistfully.

"Ah, the Forgetful Valley. I swear I've been there before, but I can't quite recall. Though any who visit the island, also see to loose some parts of thier memory. We can be there in a day, so buckle in."

"Aye, aye captain."

When you were finally docked on the island, you couldn't wait to get off. Before you could run off though, Johan called out.

"Don't go running off to far! We're only docking for a few hours while I gather supplies! And watch out for dragons! The wild ones won't hesitate to kill you!"

"Got it!"

And you immediately went to go look for a dragon. Were you reckless? Definitely. Did you care? Nope. You just want a dragon, and your pretty sure your survival instincts are fried anyway.

The island was a normal looking island, covered in forests and Meadows. As you walked through the forest, you stumbled across a cave. You went inside and found a piles of random objects, like a mix match treasure trove. It was there that you found the jackpot! A nest of eggs. The eggs were a light green, that seemed to emit a sort of mist.

Now this may seem morally incorrect, but... You really want a dragon. And there is like a dozen eggs here! I'm sure the mom won't miss just the one being missing. Probably won't even notice it's gone.

Making you decision, you grabbed the egg and placed it securely In the bag you brought with you. Now, to get out of her without the mama noticing...

That's when you came face to face with a smallish green and yellow dragon. It roared at you, and chased you as you ran out of the cave. As you ran through the forest, it tried to spray you with some sort of mist. The wind blew the mist back into the dragon's face, and you hid behind a tree. You watched as the dragon looked around confused, before it walked off somewhere. You decided to get out of there fast, before it decided to come after you again. When you got back to the boat, and Johan waved to you.

"Good, your back! I was just finishing up!"

"Perfect! We should really be going now..."

He frowned and gave you a stern glare.

"What did you do?"

"So you know how you told me to stay away from dragons? Well, funny thing..."

He sighed deeply.

"You pissed one off, didn't you?"

You sweat dropped.

"What can I say? Typical Mondays, am I right? But seriously, we should go before it wakes back up."

"Get aboard. No more resting your sea legs for you." He grumbled.

You sighed, but did as you were told. Hey, at least you have a dragon now. Probably gonna wait to mention it to Johan though...
