Ha ha ha....

The faint chuckle had woken Cassie from a deep cat nap. She yawned and sat up to stretch out her arm that was now asleep and tingly. As she looked around the room, she couldn't figure out where the laugh had come from. Her tv had been off all day and she distinctly remembered that she had shut off her computer monitor earlier in the afternoon. Shrugging her shoulders and telling herself it must've been a dream, Cassie rolled out of her bed and headed over to her desk.
She clicked the little power button on the monitor and decided to fix herself a cup of tea while it loaded up. Cassie headed out of her room and down to her kitchen to start the kettle. While waiting on the water to boil she pulled out her phone to see if she had any missed calls. She was waiting to hear back from a potential job interview but nothing had been confirmed.
'Just what I need, extra stress.' she thought to herself as she poured hot water into her favorite honeybee mug. Cassie's landlord had been giving her a hard time about her rent not being paid on time, but she just wasn't making enough from her previous job to cover costs anymore.
As she made her way back up to her room, Cassie felt a sudden chill go down her spine. The feeling like someone was looming over her had her feeling uneasy. She tried to calm herself down and hype it up to the creepy arg game she had been playing all night. She had to have been feeling the familiar tension that she got when she was playing the game. Letting out a deep breath Cassie opened the door to her bedroom.

And that's when she saw...him.
