Cassie froze in her doorway. Staring back at her from the computer monitor was the familiar yellow and blue puppet named Wally. He was sitting at what appeared to be a table and had his arms crossed in a very domineering manner. It was very unsettling to Cassie and she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. Surely she had exited the game last night before turning her computer off. She gently placed her tea cup down on her nightstand and carefully stepped towards the desk.
Wally Darling was the main character of the arg game she had been playing. He was a yellow puppet with hooded eyes that felt like they could see right through the screen. He wore a blue cardigan with a red ascot and retro rainbow stripes down his pants. His deep blue hair sat in a perfect pompadour on top of his head. If she was being honest with herself, Cassie found him to be quite handsome and dreamy. However, given the circumstances, she did feel some uneasiness about him staring at her.

"Wally...?" She addressed him hesitantly, but then she felt a bit more calm once his image disappeared and displayed the main page of the game menu. Cassie felt a bit silly from talking to Wally like he could actually hear her. 'You're being ridiculous.' She picked up her cup and sat down in her comfy computer chair. She closed the tab and opened up her emails. There were only a few, three ads, one from her mother and two from unknown sources. She opened the first mysterious one and breathed a sigh of relief to find it was about the job interview she had went to. But her relief was short lived as she read the email that explained the company would be pursuing other candidates for the position she applied for. She slumped in her chair and took a deep breath and started to count down from 10. It was her way of calming herself down that Cassie had been doing since she was a kid.
As she slowly continued to count down, she exited the rejection email.
"Seven...Six...Five...Four..." she continued on as she opened the next unknown email.

Cassie froze.
She looked at the screen in absolute terror.

There were only three words. They were colorfully written in yellow, blue, and red.

"Three. . . . Two. . . . One. . . . . . . . ."
