I finally got the tickets. Who knew getting tickets for a soccer game would be so hard. Luckily I got in contact with this lovely lady who was selling her 2 tickets which was perfect. Best thing is they are really close to the pitch! Micheal will be so delighted. Before I can tell him tho I need to convince his parents to let him go with me to a diffrent country. It's all very last minute as today is Thursday and the match is this Saturday!! I'm hoping they don't have anything already planned on his birthday but I don't think they do.
It's been a week now since our Nana passed away. It's been really hard so I haven't gone back to school yet. Micheal has this his parents sent him back. So this gave me the perfect opportunity to go over to his house so I can talk to his parents. My moms dropping me over.
*She arrives at the house and is getting out of the car*
"Bye mom thank you so much for the ride. Wish me luck I need it!" She smiled and said " Isnt Micheal lucky to have a cousin like you? Are you sure you don't want me to go in with you & help you convince them as it won't be easy". "I'm sure thank you mom". "Okay if your sure dear. Give me a buzz when your done or if you need anything". "I will mom. Hopefully I will need this balloons!" And with that I close the car door. Ph yeah did I not mention I got him balloons to help break the news. I might be a bit excited & hopeful if I'm being honest. I slowly make my way up to the door. I take a deep breath and knock. I can't feel my heart ponding, I really want to do this for Micheal he needs it. Plus I wouldn't say no to a walk on the beach, or to some shopping in Barcelona. I'm about to knock on the door again when it swings open. "Eimear! It's good to see you again. Come in come in!!" Before I can answer my aunt is pulling me in the door. "To what do I owe this pleasure?" I smile and let out a little laugh before I answer her. "It's good to see you too. Well I might as well get straight to the point. I was hoping to take Micheal to a Barcelona game this weekend. I know it's short notice but I just know he would love it!" "Oh Eimear he would adore that. You have always spoilt him. Unfortunately I don't think he can. His dad won't let him go most likely, the timings not the best with moms passing his very upset about that and... and um we can't afford that right now. The tickets to a Barcelona match are out rageous. "You wouldn't need to worry about that I would pay for it all. Also I think that it's perfect to go now because it might help him get his mind off Nana." "Eimear it sounds perfect and it seems you have it all sorted out but I can't let you pay for him." "It's my birthday present to him. My moms helping me fund it too so it's not just me." "It's too much of a present I can't let you do that I'm sorry. I would love to let him go because I know you would take such good care of him but we can't afford it and it's too big of a gift for his birthday it's only his 10th birthday. " "How about this I pay for his ticket to the match, mom pays for the hotel it's not that expensive and you can pay for the plane tickets. And that you can pay me back whenever you can" "oh I don't know Eimear." Her lip trembles as if she's going to cry. I know that nows the time to really beg. "Please he needs it and... and I need it." She makes eye contact with me and I know she wants to say yes. We stare at each other for about a minute before all of a sudden she says "yes". I start my argument again. "Please he would love it and he WAIT WHAT! He can go???" "Yes he can go". I rub forward and give her a hug and jump up and down. Before she says "now we just need to convince his dad". "Is he home?" I ask. "Yes his upstairs on the phone let me go get him". She leaves to get him. My heart is going 90. Half way there now I just need to convince his dad which isn't going to be easy......
