It was another peaceful morning. I was sitting in the living room reading another book, which is about philosophy this time. Aunt was in the kitchen cleaning up after we had took breakfast.

Grandma was outside sitting in her garden looking around her plants and the environment. She was resting from tending her garden like she always do every morning. The radio is on as usual playing songs, both new and old, relieving boredom. She was singing along with the radio as she memorize every song from the radio.

That morning, Mark suddenly came home from the shop. He didn't come home last night.

"Good morning!" Mark energetically greets as he entered the gate. He already had the bike with him home after it was fixed after two days from my first morning.

"Oh! Good morning, Mark." she greeted energetically.

"Good morning, Grandma." He approached her with a kiss in her hand.

"Why didn't you came home last night? Have you eaten? There still food in the kitchen." she asked.

"Yes, Gran. Our boss treated us breakfast in the tailor before he sent us home. There's just many customers last night, so we need to work overtime. Sorry I didn't tell you and make you worry." He said.

"That is fine. Oh, by the way, here is your bike. I already have the bike fixed yesterday. I changed it's gears to new ones and I also had it repainted because it old paint was flaking."

When she saw the bike, she was both amazed and happy to see Grandpa's bike, repaired with new shiny gears and newly painted in blue.

"Thanks for repairing your Grandpa's bicycle, dear. It is so beautiful! I'm sure when Ador is still here he would be very happy to see his bike fixed. It's as good as new!" Grandma said, overjoyed by the sight of the bicycle.

"No problem, Grandma. Anything for my beautiful granny." Mark replied with a smile on his chubby face.

"Such a sycophant you are." she giggled.

"Why? It's true though. I am not flaterring. We have seen your old pictures with Grandpa. You're so beautiful." he said. "No wonder Grandpa fell in love with you."

"Oh! I'll call your cousin inside." She then shouted to call me to go outside with them.

"Arnold, may you please come here for a while?"

I can hear their conversation through window in the living room. I can't help but let a small giggle out in what I was hearing. I heard her calling so I stood up and came outside.

"Why, Ma? What is it?" I asked her, pretending I didn't heard what their talking about.

She turn around to face me with a big smile, "Your bike is here!" she said, showing the bike behind her, newly repaired, repainted in blue, with new silver gears and chains shining. It was beautiful.

"Wow! It's looks amazing now." I was mesmerized with the new appearance of it.

"It surely is. Good thing he fixed it so it could be used again." she said.

"I'm so happy! I'll cook something delicious today for lunch!" Grandma hugged both of us. "Tell me, what do you want to for lunch?"

"Hmmm...it seems like we're going to have a feast!" Mark exclaimed.

"That's for making me so happy today." She said, approaching him to give him a tight hug. "Thank you fixing Ador's bicycle, son, which from now, it'll be Arnold's to keep." She then glanced at me from the back, reaching one arm towards me, inviting me in her braces with him. With a huge smile I came closer and hug her too.

"Thanks, Gran." I said as I walked towards her open arms with a smile.

"I love you both, my sons." She whispered to the both of us while we're in her brace. "You always make me happy."

"We love you too." I said, followed by him with the same line.

"By the way, what do you want for lunch later?" She asked, letting go from the embrace. "I'll cook for you."

"Fried chicken would be good." Mark requested, and I also agree.

"Oh, well, I'll cook fried chicken then." she said. "Sylvia brought chicken thighs yesterday. I suppose to cook chicken soup this lunch, but since you requested, I'll make the best fried chicken instead, then I'll accompany it with pumpkin soup."

"Wow! Thanks, Gran." we both replied.

"Well then, let's go inside now so you two could have your rest." she said. "And I have some things I need to do inside."

--

We gone inside after Grandma finished her gardening. Mark head straight to his room to have a sleep after working overnight at the repair shop. I grabbed the bible from the table and brought it upstairs with me.

Yesterday, I accepted a new client, who just messaged me last night. He wants me to make an advertising video to promote their pet grooming services to the public. It's not that hard though so I accepted it and I managed to do it in two days. Besides, it was only a short video so I just accepted it. They explained how they want the ad should look and they gave me some pictures and video clips of their shop and their services, making it easier for me to make the project.

So I placed the bible in the nightstand.

I did my best to create the best material from the photos and videos of their services they gave me.

Grandma went to the kitchen to have a drink, then sat in the living room and rested from gardening.

I heard Aunt Sylvia's footsteps as she was coming down from her room. Then she told Grandma, "Mom, I will just go to the bank today to withdraw the money Martin sent last night. Then I'll also buy some stuff for the house. We ran out of soap. Do you jhsve something you need so I can buy Mom, pupunta I'm going to the bank to get the money that Martin sent. I will also go to the grocery store to buy supplies for the house. We also ran out of soap."

"Okay." she replied.

"By the way, when will your husband arrive? He has been nearly a year away." Grandma asked.

"I don't know yet. But he said he would arrive by this month depending on when will their management announce a vacation." she replied.

"That's nice. It has been a long time since he came home. That is better so he could spend his leave here with us."

"Yes it surely is," she replied, "Oh, Mom, I have to go now." she followed up, hurriedly, "Maybe I wouldn't catch up to the fresh fruits."

"Oh then, go now, so you could buy and come home early." she told her, also standing up to go upstairs.

When Aunt has gone, Grandma went to her room and rested from gardening.

I continue working on a project while listening to the radio. It took me four days, ensuring every detail of the commercial will satisfy the customer. When it was done I send it to the customer for approval via email and wait for their feedback whether I had done well or the material needs more adjustments.

The news just keeps repeating itself, nothing has changed, traffic, escalating expenses, crimes, which fortunately had lessen, and some other controversies and gossips in the entertainment industry and politics.

The whole day went peacefully. I stayed for about three hours in my room when Grandma knocked at my door all of a sudden.

"Lunch's ready. Mind eating with us?" she asked, tenderly.

"Ah, sure. I'll just tidy up my things. I'll come down shortly."

"I thought you come over for a vacation? Why did you bring your work here? You're so engrossed in your work." Grandma asked me.

"I'm sorry. Maybe this is just the life of city people, always busy with work. Don't worry, I'll finish this up quickly and I'll join you at lunch." with a smile, I replied.

"Well, finish it up and get down after, dear. Your food will get cold."

"Yes, Ma."
