Alex was staring at a box that had a letter on top of it. It was from her dad and she couldn't bring herself to open it.

It had been like a week since she texted her dad and he never texted her back and she tried her best to ignore that fact like hanging out with her brother, mom and friends and work had helped her ignore it too but now she couldn't ignore it.

She had also told her mom, and Hazel about her asking her dad to come here Hazel tried her best to cheer her up some with her mom.

And now she was standing ready for school staring at a box on her bed. She couldn't help but think so many things like, what if her dad doesn't want to talk to her anymore? What if he was coming to her and she wouldn't know because she is too scared to open a letter? Or the worst one, what if he just doesn't want to see her and wants to stay as far away from her as he can.

"Pumpkin time for school lets go!" Georgia called out from downstairs making her sighs as she grabbed her bag and ran downstairs to see her mom waiting for her in a nice outfit

"Pumpkin time for school lets go!" Georgia called out from downstairs making her sighs as she grabbed her bag and ran downstairs to see her mom waiting for her in a nice outfit. It was her first day working for the Mayor and she wanted to look good. "Did you open it?" She asked Alex who shook her head.

"Nope I will do it tonight." Alex tells her but they both know she is lying.

"No you won't, I know you Alex and if you don't open it after school I will tell Rowan or Hazel or maybe both." Georgia tells her, making Alex look at her shocked as they walk out the door and to the car Ginny and Austin are already in.

"You wouldn't." Alex tells her, making Georgia smirk at her.

"You and I both know I will Pumpkin." She tells Alex who groans as she sits in the car.

======================

"Hey." Alex said to Hazel as she sat next to her in their first block.

"Has he texted you back?" Hazel asked the same question she has been asking for days now but Alex just shakes her head she didn't really know if she wanted to tell her about the box or letter yet.

"Not yet but I don't want to think about it right now." Alex tells Hazel, making the blonde nod as she pulls out her phone.

"Well a new listener came out on Morbid. It is so funny so listen to it to lighten up your mood." Hazel tells her, making her nod with a smile before turning her head to the front of the class where the teacher was.

After the first block Alex and Hazel walked into the bathroom with Sophie Sanchez, a senior who Hazel had Introduced to two a couple of days ago. She was nice and pretty and had helped Alex get into the Culinary program for next semester and had also signed up for EDCO. It was a sign language program that Rowen's mom Ellen ran.

Alex had known sign language for years and now she could teach other people it and it would look good on College application, so hopefully she could.get a scholarship or a grant.
